So, is Eminem the Rap God? He released a single from way back titled ‘Rap God’, but really, is he just hyping himself?
Eminem is one of the few rap artistes alongside Jay-Z, Kane West and the likes, who have stayed relevant in the game of hip-hop till date. He knows his craft and he delivers back to back. There has hardly ever been a watery Eminem track since he hit the limelight. However, does this mean he is a god? The rap god?

Some years back, Eminem said in a track that he is scared up the unsigned, up and coming artiste who are also in the rap game. He also mentioned that he does not see himself as a rapper in his hot track which was released in 2013, titled Survival. So, sometimes it could be confusing.
What exactly is Eminem trying to do? Should he be judged based on his testimonies of himself, or just based on his craft and the world’s view of him? If anyone would confirm that Eminem is in a bid to achieve the plaque of being the most controversial rapper ever, we could just go ahead to award him the Trophy. He is no doubt always at war: with himself, other rappers, family, friends and sometimes, the world. It is a fusion of tiring, amazing and different.
We have seen many testimonies of rappers who see Eminem as one of the best rappers alive. Some would even say no one can win a rap battle with him. This is why no one hardly ever replies his Diss tracks without being sorry for it.
Speaking of Diss tracks, Eminem just released a diss track for Machine Gun Kelly, who had previously replied Em’s track from the Kamikaze album, titled ‘Not Alike’. (By the way, Kamikaze is currently the top selling Hip Hop album of 2018.) The diss track was titled ‘Killshot’, and it made Eminem another record of being the third most streamed video within first twenty four hours of release. Just like the titled connotes, it was a kill shot for MGK. This reinforces the assertion that no one in his or her right senses should go into a feud with Eminem.

However, as against the previously believed reason for Eminem’s response, which Was Machine Gun Kelly’s comment about his daughter, it was found out that it was probably an arrangement between the Duo. This is because Eminem commented that the diss track was just a ‘petty’ deal, and we discovered that the same producer worked on both diss tracks.
Eminem has featured with the best guys in the industry, and can be called a legend if he decides to retire now. However, he does not seem to be tired. Maybe, he wants to protect his throne from the rising stars in the rap game, but that is still if he really has a throne.
The question still remains, is Eminem really the Rap God, or just another rapper?
