HBO Unveils “Westworld,” New series starring Anthony Hopkins

The new series are constantly announced since the beginning of the summer. TV channels prepare their return as it should be. But one of them pulls out of the game.

HBO has announced the upcoming release of two blockbusters. First “Vinyl” created by Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese, but especially “Westworld” JJ Abrams and Jonathan Nolan (Christopher’s brother).

The cast of the series is equally impressive: Anthony Hopkins, James Marsden (Scott Summers in X-Men) and Evan Rachel Wood (True Blood). Ed Harris (The Truman Show) is also part of the amazing list of actors and role would be that of the villain.

A series between science fiction and wild west. The cable channel (which broadcasts including Game of Thrones) has released first teaser of 30 seconds, Monday, August 10. Short but very effective, the video revealed an atmosphere weighing between dream and reality (discover below).

The trailer of WestWorld:

This series is actually the adaptation of the film “Westworld” 1973, directed by the writer Michael Crichton science fiction. The latter is also the author of “Jurassic Park” released in 1990, which will then be adapted to film in 1993.

The story takes place in 1983 when an amusement park called “Delos” allows visitors to travel back in time to visit a historical period of their choice. However, abnormalities will occur.

All the parallel universes of this park are populated by humanoids. According to RTL, Evan Rachel Wood plays a young farmer who learns that his life is an integrated virtual reality attraction. Thus, the boundary between truth and imitation is questioned.

It only remains to wait until 2016 to see the first episodes.
