Acting is one of the most difficult professions. Actors and actresses are not only pressured to play a convincing part, but are expected to live it.
If the character is good in martial arts, the actor needs to learn this, too. If the person is a good singer, the actor needs to learn how to sing. What a lot of actors find difficult is matching the physical appearance of the character they will be playing. In some cases, the only way to portray another person’s physical appearance accurately is through heavy make up.
Not all actors like to fluctuate when it comes to their weight. A lot of them take their craft seriously and are even willing to mess with their own bodies. One such actor is Christian Bale, who sacrificed a lot of things just to make his movie role a little more believable.
Christian Bale has made a lot of weight changes for every movie he has featured in. Christian had to bulk up his weight when he wanted to feature in ‘American Psycho’ and the ‘Dark Knight’. These movies needed an actor with a bit of guts, and Christian proved he could deliver.
Christian Bale’s Vice Diet
Christian Bale is known for quick fitness transformations. Christian dropped from 180lbs to 120lbs in 2004, just to portray an insomniac, anorexic factory worker in ‘The Machinist‘. In 2008, he gained about 220lbs for the 2008 Batman movie.
Christian Bale is famous for going through odd diets when it comes to movie roles. The former Batman actor has been seen taking a totally different diet just to get ready for his next role in the new film, ‘Vice’. He told the media that he has recently been eating a lot of pies just to gain weight for his role as former Vice President, Dick Cheney, in the yet to be released movie.
People who watched videos or saw pictures of the recent Christian Bale, will truly confirm that he has been eating a lot of pies. We just have to hope Christian does not develop health problems due to over consumption of baked foods.
No one knows for sure the kind of pies Christian Bale has been eating, but we clearly know he takes a whole lot of risk just to portray a particular character in a movie. We just hope Christian keeps giving us his best without overworking his body.
