Let’s go back in time to some of the best Kanye-inspired fashion trends.
Streetstyle becomes high fashion
Kanye effortlessly brought street style into vogue, inspiring trends and redefining what high fashion means. Soon, clothes typically seen on skaters, poppers and lockers, or hip-hop artists were all the rage. Items like hoodies and tracks became limited-edition drops that everyone had to have! What’s more, runways in Milan and Paris scrambled to showcase the iconic Yeezy line.
Shutter Shades
Kanye rocked one of the wackiest style trends yet – the shutter shades. Shutter shades don’t have glass but horizontal slats instead, similar to window shutters. We first saw him wear shutter shades in his music video ‘Stronger,’ which became a fashion sensation. If anyone can convince the world to wear shades with no glasses, it’s Kanye.

A boost to Adidas
Before the Yeezy launch, Adidas’ revenue and valuation were struggling. Things changed dramatically after Yeezy’s release. After a low of 1 percent, the company’s share jumped to 30 percent on the resale market. Sales in America also increased 5 percent.
Pink is for everybody
Kanye has never shied away from wearing big, bold colors – quite in tune with his personality. Pink is one of his favorites. He’s worn pink to several events and appearances. In his music video, ‘All Fall Down’ Kanye rocks a bright pink shirt stained with mustard.

Fashion fluidity
Kanye’s not the first to experiment with fluid fashion. Still, he deserves mention for blending ‘masculine’ and ‘feminine’ styles. Whether delicate shirts, pastels, or clean masculine lines – all of it came together impeccably on him.
Despite his many shenanigans, Kanye West has blazed a trail – as an artist, designer, and overall trendsetter. We can’t wait to see what he does or says next!
