Forbes releases a yearly list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women, and this year’s list has 60 women with a net worth of 71 billion total. The list is made up of some pretty amazing and inspiring names, such as Oprah, the co-founder of the GAP, the co-founder of ABC Supply and the founder of Little Caesars. However, it is Kylie Jenner who tops the list and is causing the most chatter.
Turning 21 in August, Kylie is the cover girl with her makeup company that she grew into a $900 million business. Her social media presence has also helped her reach this incredible fortune. Kylie’s passion for makeup and her work ethic helped her create the very first product in her line, the Kylie Lip Kit, which flew off store shelves. Kylie has also said that she loves the process of creating new things for her line and hopes that she will inspire others to do the same.
Although she did not make the Top 10 on the list, her achievements and ranking are still very impressive. It was no surprise that Kylie was on the list, and the same goes for her sister, Kim Kardashian West, who was ranked number 54, coming in with $350 Million. The surprising thing about all of this is that Kylie’s fans opened up a GoFundMe page for Kylie to hit a billion dollars. They knew she was $100 million shy of a billion, so they started a campaign for her. Surprisingly, the page has already raised $2000.
