Ford Escape
Predicted Cost: $24,885
Ford has long been known for its wide range of consumer-friendly cars which span from entry-level compact cars, SUV’s and even muscle cars with the long-running Mustang (more on the 2020 Mustang later). The Ford Escape is one of Ford’s most popular and best-selling cars, hailed for its reliability, affordable cost and great power-to-dollar ratio. Ford is hoping to entice consumers to upgrade or switch to their new model, and have made sure that the 2020 Ford Escape is bringing us some much-desired improvements to better reflect the beginning of the new decade. The new changes range from a smoother and more sporty looking design to better technology and a slight improvement in power.
The 2020 Ford Escape has between 180 to 250 horsepower which is very respectable when compared to the vehicle’s price. It has three versions that have different engines for people who prefer speed over budget. The first version sports a 1.5 liter, four-cylinder engine, and the second has a 2-liter engine and the third has a 2.5-liter engine. With a choice between an eight-speed automatic engine and a continuously variable transmission, we think this car is a fantastic contender for entry-level vehicles.
2020 Lamborghini Huracan EVO
Predicted Cost: $261,274
It’s clear to anyone who even remotely likes cars that Lamborghini makes some of the coolest and sportiest cars in the entire world. The brand is practically synonymous with wealth and riches, which is why the first thing that every kid who gets rich does is to buy one of these beauties. The 2020 Lamborghini Huracan EVO is another addition to the company’s large roster of lightning-fast cars that scream when you floor the gas. The Huracan Evo sports a new and more aerodynamic build, along with a supercharged 5.2-liter V10 engine that produces at 640 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, making the supercar fly from zero to sixty in under 3 seconds.
One of the biggest complaints that Lamborghini gets from its drivers is that it’s as far as you can get from a daily driver. The low body, stiff shock absorption and tiny trunk space make it an excruciating vehicle to drive on a daily basis, not to say anything about the stares and random creepy guys asking for a picture. Lamborghini hopes to rectify some of those complaints with a more user-friendly Huracan EVO, which sports an 8.4 inch entertainment system and a more forgiving transmission. If you can afford it and love the feeling of speed and power, the 2020 Huracan EVO might just be the supercar for you.

Let’s get into the details: the Polestar 1 sports an all-wheel drive, a beautiful and sporty carbon-fiber body and a whopping 591 horsepowers and over 700 lb-ft of torque. What’s most exciting about this unique Volvo invention is its use of hybrid technology, which both helps the car’s performance and makes it extremely environmentally friendly.
How does the hybrid engine of the Polestar 1 fare in terms of performance? With a battery of 34 kilowatts, the car will allegedly get you around 93 miles of driving purely on electrical power. You can charge the car by plugging it into an electricity station, which is becoming a lot simpler and easier as hybrids and electric cars are becoming more and more popular as environmental awareness grows..
Lamborghini Sian
Predicted Cost: $3.4 million
Let’s be honest here, whether you’re a huge fan of eco-friendly cars, or whether you swear by diesel, there’s not a single person in the world who would not be happy to own the supercharged, street-legal hybrid Lamborghini’s Sian. Fans have been faithfully waiting for a long time to finally get updated on the status of the most ambitious and exciting project Lamborghini has taken up in recent decades. Last year, in September 2019, the curtain was finally raised and the world got its first look at the newest creation from the supercar brand.
Lamborghini left no stone unturned in creating this incredible machine and every expense needed was spent on making it as perfect as humanly possible. The Lamborghini’s Sian has a perfect exterior that captures everything amazing about the Aventador and makes it even better. What got everyone most excited isn’t the outer appearance though, rather, it's what’s under the hood that really made us grin. Inside the Lamborghini Sian, you’ll find a 6.5 L L539 V12 hybrid engine that has a top speed of around 220 miles per hour and can go from zero to sixty in just 2.8 seconds, making it arguably the most powerful Lamborghini in the company’s history.
Cadillac XT6
Predicted Cost: $52,695
When people think of American cars, one of the first car companies that come to mind is Cadillac. The car company is often associated with luxury and power, from its boxy and bulky designs to the powerful and loud engines. Now that we’re entering into the new decade, Cadillac has updated its models and the commercially successful and critically acclaimed Cadillac XT6 car series also received some fantastic upgrades.
The XT6 is not as large as Cadillac Escalade, which is the manufacturer's most popular car among consumers. The car has three rows and seven seats, it’s a mean crossover that takes the best out of the SR6 and improves on it even further. In terms of performance, the XT6 will take you to your destination relatively fast and at only a slightly premium price, with just shy over 300 horsepower and a $50,000* price tag. Many critics have compared the car to the Lincoln Aviator and found it slightly better.
Dodge Viper
Predicted Cost: $120,000
Not many vehicles can be named after a snake and manage to pull it off with flying colors. The Dodge Viper is one of the rare cars that does exactly that, and it’s just as menacing as you’d hope. The Dodge Viper was first released back in the late ‘80s but was discontinued for various reasons. Sometime in 2008, rumors started proliferating about the possibility of return of the legendary Viper. Fans of the supercar were ecstatic when the rumors were finally confirmed by Dodge. It looks like the waiting has paid off, because the new Viper, which is set to arrive in late 2020, looks more badass than ever and has the horsepower to justify.
Dodge has reported that its supercar will have a turbocharged naturally-aspirated V8 engine boasting 550 horsepower of unbridled force. Valiant buyers will also have the option of purchasing an even stronger version of the supercar that reportedly has 700 horsepower. The Viper’s red colors are practically a must, with the only available colors of choice being either red or orange, which is quite fitting since the only people who would seriously consider buying one would certainly not mind the attention. There's a high chance that the car will be launched with an optional manual transmission for avid sports racers.
Mini Cooper SE
Predicted Cost: $38,000
Love it or hate it, the Mini Cooper has become a very popular car. Some will credit Cooper’s popularity to its tiny body, which gives it the ability to park in some very tough places - sometimes even in a perpendicular fashion. Others will tell you that they love the car because of the powerful engine relative to the car’s price, mostly due to its very light build. The Mini Cooper SE is the first mass-produced electric car and has been making the rounds on roads since it was introduced back in 2017 (which feels now like a decade ago). The 2020 Mini Cooper SE carries a powerful 181 horsepower engine which gives a lot of performance due to its lightweight. It has a range of almost 170 miles, which should work for most daily commuters just perfectly.
Some of the new technologies that you’ll get with the model are regenerative braking, auto Start-Stop functionality, and Switch Point Display – which all come with the base version of the vehicle. The Cooper SE also charges itself slightly using a futuristic technology called “regenerative braking,'' where the energy that’s lost through braking is recycled into the battery using an Intelligent Alternator Control and an Absorbent Glass Mat battery. Should you go for the Mini Cooper S or the SE? It depends mostly on your wallet, but the differences are respectable.
Ford Explorer
Predicted Cost: $36,675
Another reliable and recognizable Ford model that is loved by Americans all across the nation is the Ford Explorer. The 2020 version of this car comes with a massive trunk that has almost ninety cubic-feet of space. The Explorer can tow just about any large vehicle up to 5,600 pounds even in problematic areas, thanks to its 2.3L four-cylinder engine. For Ford fans that like some extra horsepower in their car, a more powerful version of the car can be purchased with a V6 engine that sports either 3 liters or 3.3 liters, depending on how much power you want.
Despite the 2020 Ford Explorer being a relatively large car (199″ L x 79″ W x 70″ H), it actually has very reasonable gas mileage at 27 miles per gallon in the city and 29MPG on the highway. If you’re looking for performance, the SE version of the Explorer boasts 400 horsepower, 415 lb.-ft. of torque and a top speed of 143 mph. Critics are fairly happy with the car and it is recommended as a contender for your next SUV, in case you’re in the market for one.
Hyundai Palisade
Predicted Cost: $31,550
Hyundai, the South Korean industrial conglomerate, has been a favorite car manufacturer for many consumers who love entry level cars that look good, are safe to drive and can produce a nice performance. Hyundai’s cars have generally gotten very favorable reviews from critics, and the 2020 Palisade is no different. The model has received an IIHS TSP+ Award and it was named by CNET as a “Top Safety Pick Plus” pick due to having extra headlights. The Palisade has eight seats, can tow up to 1,650 pounds and has a moderate gas-economy at 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 on highways.
For just over $30,000 you can get the 2020 Hyundai Palisade. It’s an incredible car for families who put safety first and passed literally all safety tests with flying colors. ‘Cars.com’ even went as far to say that the Palisade “Crushed” the safety tests — especially if you get it with its optional LED headlights.
McLaren GT
Predicted Cost: $210,000
When Elon Musk sold his first company, Zip2, for over $300 million dollars, the first thing he did was purchase a brand new McLaren F1 hypercar. Of course, he crashed it soon after, but that’s an inherent risk with such a fast rider. One of the more affordable models (relatively speaking) of the McLaren brand is the 2020 McLaren GT. With a price tag of $210,000, you might not have to be rich to buy this car, but if you’re not - you’ll definitely have to choose between this beauty and your house. Although McLarens are usually reserved for auto shows and NASCAR races, this one has actually diverged from the brand’s regular type of cars in favor of a more “supercar” feel. It’s a front-engine beast with a zero-to-60 time of 3.2 seconds.
What else does the 2020 McLaren GT have in store for consumers? Its power is astounding as it can reach a top speed of just over 200 miles per hour. The GT is a two-seater and is made mostly of carbon fiber. If you’ve got the money for it and the appetite for risk and speed, this might just be the car for you.
Kia Soul EV
Predicted Cost: $35,000
With the push towards eco-friendly cars, even Kia couldn’t help it and found themselves jumping into the race to save the environment, one mile at a time. This might be a car to consider if you’re looking for an environmentally friendly car and don’t mind looking a bit weird driving this boxy car, which comes in lime green as well as various other colors. The Kia Soul EV is a battery-powered car and the 2020 model comes with improvements in every department from speed, range and of course, safety features.
If you’re interested in speed and performance, the Kia Soul EV doesn’t disappoint. It goes from zero to sixty in about seven seconds and has a 64-kwh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery, borrowed from the Niro EV, which provides just over 240 miles in range. While the car is very boxy and could probably fit as a truck container, it’s not too big and is only 165 inches long.
Jeep Gladiator
Predicted Cost: $79,900
The Jeep brand has always been synonymous with big, tough and sturdy cars that can drive on dirt roads, mud, and asphalt. Regardless of what you think about the automaker, it’s no surprise that the Jeep Gladiator is just as durable and resilient as the name would imply. It’s a strong mid-size pickup truck and can tow up to 4,500 pounds. The Gladiator has a relatively eco-friendly gas mileage, with 17 miles per gallon in the city and 22 on the highway. If you’re looking for a bulky pickup truck with some powerful abilities but don’t mind too much for the popular Ford and Chevrolet models, the Jeep Gladiator might just be the perfect car for you.
So, what’s new in Jeep’s 2020 Gladiator? Basically not too much. It has some new features and a slightly modified design, but to our knowledge, the biggest change in this year’s version of the car is a heftier price tag. The Gladiator comes in four versions, Sport, Sport S, Overland and Rubicon, with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque routed through a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional eight-speed automatic
Kia Telluride
Predicted Cost: $31,690
One of the favorite mid-size SUVs in the United States is the Kia Telluride, which received a #1 ranking by US News for mid-size SUVs. Unlike many of its competitors, Telluride has gone through a lot of upgrades going into the 2020 model. The new features and tech include a much-improved dashboard, a bigger exterior, and a stronger engine. In terms of performance, you’ll get quite far with the car’s V-6, 3.8-liter engine which produces almost 300 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. If you’re interested in acceleration, you would be happy to know that the midsize SUV can get from zero to sixty in around seven seconds.
The default transmission is an eight-speed auto and has both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive versions. The car boasts eight high-end seats, various driving aids, a huge cargo, great warranty and is considered quite reliable by consumer standards. You can get one for yourself for a starting price of just over $30,000.
Electra Meccanica Solo
Predicted Cost: $15,500
Arguably the most unique and one of the strangest looking cars on our list, the 2020 Electra Meccanica Solo is an up and coming electric car with three wheels and a very unusual appearance that is now coming to the United States. It was described as a “Disney ride that escaped” by Jerry Kroll, the CEO of Meccanica.
The electric mini boasts a fairly small cabin space and While three-wheeled ideas are hardly a new invention, the way that the Meccanica Solo executes them is fairly new and unique. The car drives like one of the Jetsons' cars at a modest pace. It is claimed to go from zero to sixty in about eight seconds and its top speed is 82 mph. The company claims that the car has a 100-mile range and takes just three hours to charge. This unusual car was criticized by reviewers for its poor handling, including uncomfortable steering and a breaking pedal that feels "similar to stepping on a brick." If you’ve got an open mind and aren’t scared of paying around $15,000 for a car that might be a total flop - you should give this one a drive and see what you think.
Cadillac CT4
Predicted Cost: $70,000
Another brilliant sedan from the all-American car maker is the 2020 Cadillac CT4. The car is a sharp and stylish entry-level sedan that gives you the feeling of luxury and the performance of sports at the meager starting price of $35,000. The CT4 has a 2.0-liter supercharged four-cylinder engine with 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. You can also go for the premium version of the car and get 325 horsepower for a premium price.
In-terms of the interiors and tech, Cadillac made sure that the dashboard was as user-friendly as possible. It's cheaper than the Audi A3 and the Mercedes A-Class, but we don't see the CT4 becoming more popular than its German counterparts. If you're looking for a fantastic entry-level sedan, the 2020 Cadillac CT4 might just be the right one for you. On the other hand, if you’re looking for the best that Cadillac has to offer and are willing to go for a much higher price tag, the ATS-V makes the CT4 run away in tears.
Lincoln Aviator
Predicted Cost: $51,100

It seems that the Aviator really did manage to bring back the “American Luxury” status that the company was known for in its heyday.
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
Predicted Cost: $60,000
Chevrolet is known as one of America’s most reliable car companies and is often associated with efficiency and the all-American ethos. While most of their car models include SUVs, entry-level vehicles and even the Mustang competitor — Camaro. The Chevrolet Stingray isn’t one of the brand’s standard cars though, it is a true supercar, part of its Corvette line, with a top speed of 194 miles per hour, 490 horsepower. In-terms of its weight and fuel capacity, the Stingray has a curb weight of 3,535 pounds and holds 18.5 gallons of fuel. You can get the Stingray with its devilish performance for around $60,000.
The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray goes from zero to sixty in less than three seconds and has an expansion called Z51 that adds sports suspension, a better cooling system, large brake rotors, and a sports exhaust. If you don't mind people staring at you and asking really weird questions when you're fueling it a gas station, there's a great chance you'll love this red beast.
Hyundai Venue
Predicted Cost: $17,000
The 2020 Hyundai Venue is one of the cheaper cars on our list. At a starting price of under $20,000, this entry-priced vehicle is the newest addition to Hyundai’s line of vehicles. It’s a modest vehicle with a lot of potential and a surprising amount of tech. The Venue comes in three versions, the SE at $18,000, SEL at $20,000 and the Denim at $23,000. This compact car is doing a great job justifying the price and consumers who are looking for a car that’s light on the price tag and can fit your family with ease, you should definitely give the Venue a test drive.
Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport
Predicted Cost: $31,000
The 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport takes the main complaint that has plagued the Atlas model for years — its boxy and boring look, and turns it upside down with a sexy and stylish design that compliments a very roomy interior. The car comes with two different engines, you can go for a 235 turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder or the 276-hp 3.6-liter V-6 one.
The performance of the Atlas does leave a bit to be desired when compared to other vehicles in its price range. It goes from zero to sixty in 7 to 8 seconds, depending on the package. Despite its average performance, the car provides a very smooth ride and most drivers would definitely enjoy long road trips in this vehicle. Its fuel economy is also average, at 21 miles per gallon in the city and 24 on the highway. Based on consumer reviews and sentiment, it's clear that outside of the sleek new design, there's not too much else that was improved in the 2020 version of the car. Should you be interested in the 2020 Atlas? We’d give it a pass.
Tesla Roadster
Predicted Cost: $200,000
Speaking of Elon Musk, the legendary car company Tesla was truly supposed to fail when it first launched. With heavy financial debts and a lack of ability to sell enough units, everyone was sure that the company was not going to survive until Christmas. However, somehow, Tesla managed to prevail and finally revealed what is supposed to be the fastest car in the entire world. Let’s get the first thing out of the way, the 2020 Tesla Roadster goes from zero to sixty in 1.9 seconds, which is literally faster than any other legal street car currently in production. In terms of range, the Roadster will take you for about 620 miles on a full charge, enough to take you almost three times from New York to Washington.
Everything about this car is exciting and special, from having virtually zero buttons, an incredible infotainment screen that beats every other car by a longshot, streaming services that were developed in-house by Tesla, an incredibly useful autopilot system that already saved the lives of many drivers, and a gazillion other features that only the mind of Elon Musk and his team of engineers could imagine and create.
Mercedes-Benz GLB
Predicted Cost: $40,700
The Mercedes brand is known for German quality and is practically synonymous with luxury and technology. The company’s flagship SUV vehicles, the GLA and GLC, left something to be desired, so Mercedes did the best alphabetical trick and went ahead with the GLB model too. The boxy styled vehicle looks like an SUV, but in reality it’s a compact crossover. The 2020 GLB has 221 horsepower and goes from zero to sixty in slightly under seven seconds. It has the spacy interiors that you’d expect from a Mercedes and boasts three rows of seats and the usual high-tech features associated with the luxury German brand.
The GLB is a great mix of the GLA and the GLC and is definitely well-suited to off-road driving due to its protective underbody. For a baseline price of $40,000, you can enjoy this crossover and feel like you’re rich at the same time. So far the 2020 GLB definitely looks promising, as Mercedes finally provides a family-friendly car that is truly affordable while maintaining the company's high standards.
Toyota GR Supra
Predicted Cost: $49,990
Toyota is mostly recognized as an entry-level car manufacturer. The GR Supra series takes that concept and throws it to the trash. At a base cost of around $50,000, you can expect to get 335 horsepowers out of the 3.0 liter, six-cylinder engine which sounds amazing and super sharp. The Supra comes in three packages — the 3.0, the 3.0 Premium, and the 3.0 Premium Launch Edition. Toyota’s sports car is highly acclaimed for it’s beautiful and aggressive design, the comfortable electric adjustable seats and performance which rivals that of the BMW Z4.
Despite the undoubtedly incredible look of the Supra, the Sportster does have its fair share of problems. The car is criticized for having a plasticky interior, a bad fuel economy (24 miles per gallon in the city and 31 on the highway) and a lack of Android Auto which turns it into a fairly impractical car if you're a daily driver. In summary, the GR Supra is truly a wild racing car. It's a beast that you'll enjoy taming if you're interested in a compact sports car that spits out excellent performance. However, if you're the type of driver that only occasionally likes to step on the gas pedal, it might be a good idea to go for a different vehicle.
Land Rover Defender
Predicted Cost: $50,000

With the basic version of the car offering 375 horsepower and a zero to sixty acceleration of 5.3 seconds, you can definitely enjoy some sporty trips if you’re in that mood as-well. Obviously, if you’re going to be sporty with a BMW 7, you should probably put the extra money (which you obviously have) and get the xDrive model which will accelerate from zero to sixty in under five seconds. If you’ve got the $80,000+ to spend for a basic-version or $150,000 for a fully tricked out BMW, you’ll be happy to know that you’re able to purchase one of the most impressive and best-built cars in the world.
Lexus RC 350
Predicted Cost: $64,900
The 2020 Lexus RC 350 offers the refreshed style from the 2019 model, fantastic interiors with practically soundless driving, and an incredible driving experience that makes you feel like you and the car are truly best friends. The price of the car starts at a little below $66,000 and goes up to $96,650 for the fully stocked model. If you're a fan of the Lexus brand, you'll absolutely love this 2020 version of an already successful series.
The Lexus RC 350’s 2020 model lost 55 pounds off the 2019 model and has slightly faster acceleration thanks to the diet. The suspension system was also upgraded with aluminum plating which give the car extra torque. The car's V6 engine delivers smooth driving that is fun and relaxing, though not very impressive when it comes to accelerating. Although the car has various advantages, it's important to mention that you can find better performance in the car's competitors for the same price - so unless you're a huge Lexus
Land Rover Evoque
Predicted Cost: $50,000
One of the reasons Land Rover fans love the off-road brand is because it combines technology and luxury with the classic 4x4 experience that off-road enthusiasts look for. The 2020 Land Rover Evoque doesn’t disappoint with its study build, dependable technology and prestigious redesigned look that lets you drive tough terrains with style. The car boasts a classy interior design that complements its fantastic handling and sporty driving, all while having off-road capabilities that make its competitors scared.
The Evoque includes a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, but you can also get a stronger hybrid version that will give you 300 horsepower to work with. The biggest criticism that the 2020 Evoque has received was for its relatively tight visibility due to the car’s massive size. Other than that, the car is a fantastic drive — both on roads and off-road. If you’re a fan of Jeep and Land Rover, you should definitely give this one a test drive.
Porsche 911 Carrera 4
Predicted Cost: $106,050
The eighth generation of the 911 continues the timeless legacy of Porsche's series. There are good reasons why the 911 is arguably the most famous car the German brand has ever made, with a zero to sixty acceleration of 4 seconds and a top speed of 180 miles per hour due to its new 3.0-liter turbo flat-six engine, this one definitely justifies Porsche's brand. The 2020 model of the 911 keeps the sports car’s interior but adds various amazing improvements underneath the hood. Porsche also added a liquid-cooled clutch and supercharged power units which make the 911 even faster and better handling than ever before.
The 2020 911 will be available for purchase in the United States in early 2020 with prices starting at $106,000. If you’ve got the cash and you’re not willing to settle for trash, the 2020 Porsche 911 will no doubt be one of your most prized possessions. Would you be willing to pay over $100,000 for the pleasure of owning one of the slickest and most awesome cars that was ever invented? We sure would.
Mercedes Benz CLA
Predicted Cost: $37,645
One of the German auto manufacturers' best series to date is the CLA Mercedes Benz. Finally, a smooth and beautiful machine that serves both luxury needs and performance requirements at a very affordable price for upper-middle-class families. If you’re a junior partner at a law firm or an up-and-coming broker looking to make a great first impression, this is the perfect car for you. The 2020 CLA features some incredible upgrades both inside and outside the prestigious car, but also sports a higher price tag than usual. The CLA250’s new engine is a 2.0 liter turbo that puts out a mean 302 horsepower and easily justifies its $37,000* price tag. When compared to the brand's A-class vehicles, the CLA looks much younger and more sports-oriented to say the least.
If you're looking for the latest in high-tech features both inside and outside the car, Mercedes definitely has you covered. With Mercedes-Benz becoming ever more popular among both young and older audiences, and the brand’s ever-growing lineup of affordable luxury cars, it looks like the CLA is going to accompany us for many years to come.
Subaru Legacy
Predicted Cost: $22,745
We were first introduced to the Subaru Legacy back when it hit the markets in the mid-‘60s, and while the car has been well received, it did leave a bit lacking in-terms of its design. The 2020 Subaru takes care of just that with a revamped look that closely mirrors the popular Honda Accord and Honda Camry, but it's not just the exterior that has been significantly improved this year. If you’re looking for safety and the latest in terms of technology at slightly higher than entry price, you’ll definitely find it in the 2020 Subaru Legacy; With brand new flared fenders, adaptive cruise control and an overhauled interior full of the latest gadgets and tech, you’ll definitely feel right at home.
As aforementioned, the safety features have also been upgraded significantly, from life-saving auto-emergency brakes to lane departure warning signals and lane-centering technologies. If you’re interested in the car but are looking mostly for the comfort, safety, and tech (without the inflated price tag of the Mercedes and Audi brand), you should get the 2.5-liter engine with 182 horsepower. If, on the other hand, you like to mix speed with all that modern stuff, you should definitely go for the turbo 2.4 liter engine that can produce a very respectable 260 horsepower.
Aston Martin DBX
Predicted Cost: $226,250
The famous luxury vehicle brand Aston Martin has been trying to create a bunch of creative new lineups in it’s rather a small set of cars. We’ve been introduced to everything from the hybrid Aston Martin Valkyrie to the limited electric Aston Martin Rapid E. One of the company's latest ventures has been a very serious attempt to create serious competition for the Ferraris and the Lamborghinis that are often purchased by the rich and famous. It’s the latest iteration in this attempt is the incredible 2020 Aston Martin DBX, which it hopes will be a game-changer in the supercar industry.
While there is still a lot to find out about the car, which is currently in intense production at the company’s factory in Wales, we already know that it has been described by critics as a possible “Lamborghini killer.” The DBX sports twin-turbo 4-liter V8 engines and uses the new hybrid tech that Mercedes Benz has been using in their vehicles as of late. The car has been self-described by Aston Martin as the most important car the maker has ever designed and based on the photos, you can probably see why.
Nissan Versa
Predicted Cost: $14,730
Taking a step back from the Porsches, Aston Martins and other pricey cars on our list and moving on to one of the most affordable ones, the 2020 Nissan Versa is looking to be one of the year’s best entry-level cars for families looking for a cheap and reliable car with the best technology that its price level can support.
This year’s Versa seems to be slightly less spacious than the 2019 model and it’s a 2.3 inches closer to the ground. The car comes with all the recent tech upgrades including high-quality LEDs, bigger wheels, black mirror caps and a new V-motion grille. Nissan offers three versions of the Versa, including the S, SV and the SR trim. The car puts out 122 horsepower using its 1.6 liter I-4 engine and has a gas mileage of 30 miles per gallon in the city and 35 on the highway. You can purchase the 2020 Nissan Versa for a very reasonable $14,730 which should fit most consumers who are looking for an affordable vehicle to take them from A to B in a comfortable and safe fashion.
Ford Bronco
Predicted Cost: $45,000
The Ford Bronco was one of Ford’s most intimidating and bulky vehicles when it was on the markets in the early and mid ‘90s. It was a great seller and a true American beast, with even its name meaning “a wild or half-tamed horse of the western US” in popular lingo. Despite its popularity and success, the model was discontinuous in 1996 after sales of the Bronco tanked due to the infamous 1994 murder case related to OJ Simpson. It seems that almost two decades was just the time the company needed to re-introduce this monster of a car to American markets hungry for off-road behemoths that can dominate tough terrain.
Although the 2020 Bronco is similar to the Ford Escape in many ways, it is distinctly more rugged than its companion. Ford has remained largely quiet regarding details of this goliath of a car, although they have promised that it is back and “better than ever”. Consumers are excited about the Bronco, and for good reason, the car was one of the best selling 4x4 in its prime, and we might just see an insane comeback this year from Ford’s new monster.
Toyota Corolla
Predicted Cost: $19,600
One of the most popular cars in the world right now is the Toyota Corolla series. It’s used worldwide by consumers and many police stations as their go-to vehicle that’s cheap and effective at the same time. With the addition of the newest Corolla from the 2020 assortment, you’re going to get incredible gas mileage at just 31 miles per gallon in the city and 40 MPG on the highway. The Corolla also has an impressive fuel tank that holds 1.2 gallons of fuel and two choices for its engine.
If you’re looking for a cheaper option, you’ll probably go for the 1.8 liters four-cylinder engine that produces 139 horsepower, but if you’re looking for a bit more power behind the wheel, the pricier 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine should do the trick with its 169 horsepower, an 18% increase in power. The Corolla has always been considered a very safe and reliable car and the 2020 version has improved on its safety features even further. It scored a 9.8 out of 10 in safety ranking by US News.
Rimac C_Two
Predicted Cost: $615,000
We’ve had enough with entry-level cars for now, so let’s get back to the more exotic side of things. While we’re looking at luxury sports cars, how about a $615,000 devil that can go from zero to sixty in 1.85 seconds and reach a top speed of 256 miles per hour? We’re of course referring to the futuristic uber car, the Rimac C_2. In case you haven’t heard of this new invention, the new car from Rimac aims to bury the Bugatti lineup with some of the most impressive performance stats in vehicular history. This incredible machine boasts an unprecedented 1,888 horsepower in a tiny, aerodynamic and lightweight body.
How Rimac manages to keep this thing on the ground when accelerating is beyond our comprehension. In-case you weren’t clued in by the underscore in the car’s name, the C_2 is a completely electric vehicle and can go for up to 404 miles on one full battery charge, meaning it just might be able to drive from New York to Washington and back on a single charge. The only bad news about the car is that it will be in very limited production, with only 150 units scheduled for production, as is the case with Aston Martin’s Rapid E model.
Volkswagen Passat
Predicted Cost: $30,000
Coming straight from a $615,000 car to one that costs less than 5% of the price, The Volkswagen Passat is another popular entry-level car that is often in direct competition with the Honda Accord and the Toyota Yaris. It’s a cheap and tech-heavy car that attempts to borrow its level of quality from Mercedes, Audi, and BMW without an added price hike that inevitably comes from the brand recognition of these luxury manufacturers.
You can expect in this midsize sedan all the neat features that are expected for a $30,000 car in 2020, including seventeen-inch alloy wheels, automatic emergency braking, high-tech LED headlights and a modern interior cabin with the latest in phone control technology. The 2020 Passat also features a completely overhauled cabin which is much more similar to the classic look of the series from back in the day. If you’re willing to pay above the base price, we recommend that you get the blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry system, and the lane-centering assistance system, as these features make the ride much safer and more enjoyable for everyone.
Genesis GV80
Predicted Cost: $66,000
The Genesis has been a relatively unknown series of the Hyundai brand due to its smaller circulation and high-end products. Perhaps the company wanted to separate its name, which is often associated with entry-level vehicles, in favor of an appeal to consumers who can afford pricier cars. The 2020 GV80 marks an important step for the Genesis, thanks to it being the brand’s first ever high-end SUV. While the first Genesis vehicle was released back in the year 2000, it took the brand 15 years to gain enough steam to become an entity separate from its parent brand, Hyundai.
The GV80 comes in two packages, both strong in performance, with the differences mostly centering around the question of whether you prefer fast cars or even faster cars. Both of the engines that the car offers are strong and more than capable with 3.8 liters, but the cheaper one is a V6 and the pricier one is a V8. We’re expecting to see the car debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in fall, 2019, but it’s been rumored that the automaker might prefer to wait until 2020 to make sure that the car is as good as they imply it will be. You’ll be able to get the GV80 for a starting price of $66,000 when it drops into the dealership in the coming months.
Toyota Yaris Hatchback
Predicted Cost: $18,705
Another popular and affordable car on our list that has been on the market for quite a while is the Toyota Yaris. This small car is a perfect entry-level vehicle for anyone looking for a cheap car that is well-equipped, safe and reliable. The 2020 Yaris can be purchased in either a sedan or hatchback version, depending on your preference, and includes the L-trim version as its cheapest option.
Like most of the 2020 lineup, even this cheap vehicle is equipped with the latest in safety and entertainment tech such as touchscreen audio controls, keyless entry capabilities, and a pre-collision system, with the latter continuously proving itself to be a true life-saver. The engine of the 2020 Yaris is a standard 1.5-liter four-cylinder that provides 1016 horsepower with estimated gas mileage of around 40 miles per gallon, according to Toyota. In case you're wondering about potential speed capabilities, the car comes with a sports mode that allows you to pretend you're driving a faster vehicle, if only for a moment. While the Yaris isn’t the prettiest car to look at, it’s definitely a great bang for your buck and is likely to be on the wishlist of many young families and students who are looking for their first vehicle.
Jeep Wagoneer
Predicted Cost: $140,000
The Jeep Wagoneer’s fans have been clamoring and begging for a worthwhile upgrade to the beloved series for many years now, with a new version being promised ever since 2014. Unfortunately for off-road customers eager to get their hands on the wheel of this contender in the 4x4 market, the new Jeep Wagoneer will only ship out next year in 2020, making it the 2021 Wagoneer. This new iteration of the popular series aims to compete with other large trucks such as the Ram 1500, the Chevrolet Tahoe and the Ford Expedition while retaining its SUV-like design and posture.
It's been rumored that the Wagoneer will feature an optional four-corner air suspension system for optimal ride and aerodynamic performance, which will help improve ride quality both on the road and off. It packs a standard 8-speed 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with eTorque, 5.7-liter HEMI V8, and 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with eTorque. The return of the Wagoneer has been a long-awaited one, with the vehicle expected to be manufactured at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant.
Toyota Prius Prime
Predicted Cost: $27,600
The Toyota Prius Prime is one of the auto maker’s most popular vehicles and is both loved and hated by many. When the hybrid car first inserted itself into the markets at a time when eco-friendly cars were just starting to gain steam, it proved to be among the first reliable environmentally aware cars that are affordable, reliable and fun to drive. The new 2020 Prius Prime is a hybrid car with electric-only capabilities that is extremely practical, in addition to having an insane fuel economy milestone of 56 miles per gallon, making it one of the most cost-effective cars to drive. If you’re looking for a purely electric car, this is definitely not the car for you because its electric-only mode will only take you just around 25 miles on a full charge.
Although the Prius’ design is considered to be a bit boxy and out-dated, it’s still definitely one of the more recognizable designs and immediately makes you think of “hybrid technology” when you see it, which is perhaps one of the reasons for the car’s continuous popularity. Some of the upgrades in this year’s version include upgraded interiors, a sun visor extender, black trim instead of white, Sirius XM radio and new USB ports for rear passengers. While not groundbreaking in any way, these improvements just add slightly more value to an already solid model that manages to keep up with the times.
Bentley Continental GT
Predicted Cost: $201,225
Oh boy, it’s the Bentley Continental GT. Often reserved for the most upper-class citizens and most easily spotted in front of only the most prestigious hotels and mansions, the Continental GT takes the idea of a car and turns it into a true work of art, much akin to The Sistine Chapel or Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. This year’s version of the ultra-luxury car features an improved exterior that makes it look even better than before, with the dual options of either a twelve-cylinder or an eight-cylinder engine. The car is a loud, scary and delightful drive, with critiques describing the sound of acceleration as “an elephant being stabbed”.
Other improvements to the already impressive set of features found inside and outside the cabin include better handling, upgraded electronics, a fantastic foldable touch screen and even better sound canceling and smooth suspension when driving in rough roads. Buying the 2020 Bentley Continental GT will set you back a minimum of $200,000* and a monthly salary in annual car insurance, but if you’re able to afford it and want to truly drive or be driven in the absolute best an executive can get, you’ll be very happy with Bentley’s new creation.
Volvo V60 Cross Country
Predicted Cost: $45,100
Volvo has always been a fantastic contender when you’re looking for the best technology and features while maintaining sane price tags. It exists somewhere between luxury brands such as Mercedes and BMW, and the cheaper entry brands like Nissan and Toyota. Every year Volvo attempts to create new technology that’s unique to them for the sake of better customer experience and safety, which makes us like and respect the automaker even more.
The 2020 Volvo V60 Cross Country is no different in this sense and serves as a wonderful cross between an SUV and a mid-sized wagon. The V60 ads three inches to its height and has a sleeker and more aerodynamic build, which makes it an optimal candidate for the occasional off-road driver. The interiors of the Cross Country remain mostly unchanged except for some improvements to the touchscreen, this is perfectly fine since Volvo is already known for providing extensive and comfortable interiors that often rival those of Audi and BMW. The car features a 250 horsepower 2.0-liter inline-four engine that produces 258 pound-feet of torque. You can get this one for a starting cost of $45,000.
BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe
Predicted Cost: $84,900
If you’re looking for the best that the German automaker BMW has to offer, the 2020 BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe is somewhere in the top of that search. This is a very long car, with dimensions of 200” L x 76” W x 55” H. It has a massive storage space of 15.5 cubic feet that can practically house a few human beings… but don’t. That being said, the Gran Coupe can definitely drive just as-well-as you’d expect. In terms of performance, you’ll be getting a 335 horsepower inline six-cylinder V8 engine that can go from zero to sixty in just under five seconds, according to BMW.
The coupe version of the car is considerably faster vis-a-vis its acceleration times, and can allegedly go from zero to sixty in just 3.3 seconds when attempted in perfect conditions. BMW considers this their flagship car, as it contains just about everything that makes the company so respected and admired. The asking price for this car is $84,900 for the 840i Gran Coupe, $87,800 for the 840i xDrive Gran Coupe, and $108,900 for the M850i xDrive.
Mercedes-AMG GLC 43
Predicted Cost: $60,495
Moving from the BMW luxury series to Mercedes’ menacing AMG GLC 43 series, this sleek luxury compact SUV has everything you could want from a Mercedes experience, including refined interiors, a near-infinite amount of features and great engine options for those who want speed and sound along with their premium experience.
The 2020 version of the GLC 43 includes beautiful new headlights and taillights, revamped quad outlets which give even more comfort and the iconic Panamericana Grille that makes Mercedes’ vehicles look so menacing. You’ll also get a brand new steering wheel, an improved touchscreen, more features for the interior, standard heated front seats and new trim. When it comes to performance, you’re looking at a nine-speed auto transmission driving experience with a 3 liter, twin-turbo V6 engine that can go from zero to sixty in 4.7 seconds. The 2020 AMG GLC 43 starts at $59,500 and has an EPA-estimated 21 MPG combined fuel economy. Making it an ideal vehicle for the occasional off-road driving upper-middle-class family.
Toyota Highlander
Predicted Cost: $31,350
Originally released in 2007, the Toyota Highlander was the company's attempt to compete in the midsize SUV class which became more popular over the last decade as more and more drivers left traditional midsize sedans for their larger and more capable counterparts. The Highlander is known for being comfortable, quiet and very nice to sit in, with only the best when it comes to interior materials and style. The car also contains a bevy of safety features and the optional V6 engine to compliment for those who care about speed as-well. You can get the 2020 Highlander in either standard or hybrid forms, with the two models containing a 3.5 liter, 295 horsepower engine, and a 2.5 liter, four-cylinder engine with two electric motors and 240 horsepower respectively. The L and LE models of the car also include third-row seats.
In-terms of tech upgrades, you can expect to find the popular Android Auto and Apple CarPlay features in your cabin, as-well-as a fantastic eleven-speaker audio system by JBL. If you're looking for a 3-row SUV then you should definitely take a look at the 2020 Toyota Highlander, but it's important to note that the last row is fairly small in comparison.
Jeep Grand Cherokee
Predicted Cost: $32,045
When it comes to the best cars that Jeep has ever produced, Grand Cherokee is considered one of their most loved and successful creations. This Heavy-duty SUV can take you just about anywhere on almost any terrain with relative ease, as-well-as tow and carry very heavy loads without too much effort. It’s much more compact when compared to the rest of Jeep’s lineup, and strikes a beautiful balance between its heavy-duty capabilities and sleek design.
Under the Grand Cherokees hood lies a powerful and impressive 3.6 liter V6 Pentastar sports engine with a solid 295 horsepower, although power-freaks can upgrade to a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine as-well. It has an eight-speed automatic transition but also supports manual mode for those times when you’re driving in problematic off-road terrains. In-terms of fuel economy you’re going to get a nice 23 miles per gallon in the city and 31 MPG on the highway. The basic 2020 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x2 starts at $32,045, and the Limited, Trailhawk and Overland models costing $39,855, $44,955 and $46,295 respectively.
Subaru Outback
Predicted Cost: $26,645
Subaru has been widely known for making entry-level vehicles that are reliable and convenient for the average consumer. Their Outback series of SUVs is one of their most popular vehicles and Subaru hopes to continue this trend with their introduction of the 2020 Outback. When it comes to upgrades from last year, there are a few important changes from a stronger engine to new interior technology that provides a more streamlined driving experience.
Other big improvements that are being introduced in the 2020 Outback are the first all-wheel-drive feature, as-well-as some amazing new safety features. Subaru decided to change almost the entire engine, with 90% of its part being completely new in this year’s version. The engine is a 2.4 or 2.5 liter flat-4 that provides 182 horsepower, which enables the 2020 Outback to go from zero to sixty in 8.7 seconds and finish a quarter-mile in 16.6 seconds. You can get the 2020 Subaru Outback for a starting price of $26,645 for the base model, or go for a slightly more expensive upgraded model with all the relevant accessories and features.
GMC Sierra HD
Predicted Cost: $35,600
Our third heavy-duty truck in this list also happens to be the meanest, with a total weight of 6,562 pounds and a 6.6L V8 gasoline or diesel engine that provides 910 pound-feet of torque to the booth. It comes in three different body styles based on your preference, either regular, double or crew cab. This behemoth of a vehicle has a very impressive towing capacity of 14,500 pounds (exactly as much as the 2020 Chevy Silverado HD), and its payload is 3,614 to 3,900 pounds.
You can the GMC Sierra HD with either three-quarter-ton 2500, one-ton 3500 single rear, or one-ton 3500 dual rear wheels. The GMC Sierra HD has been criticized for having rough handling and mechanical breaks, it is considered a decent truck next to some very strong competitors. Although the truck has its upsides, they are mostly overshadowed by the much better Ram 3500 and Ford Super Duty.
Lexus RX 450h Hybrid
Predicted Cost: $45,175
One of the best things about the Lexus brand is that it keeps reinventing itself in various different ways. A great example of the company’s efforts to improve and maintain an edge over the competition is its new 2020 RX 450H. The vehicle comes in either hybrid or gas-only versions and is the latest addition to the auto maker’s flagship RX family which allegedly sells more vehicles than all the company’s other models combined.
With the 2020 RX 450H you’ll get a 3.5 liter V6 engine that has a very impressive 408 horsepower. This is an all wheel vehicle and it definitely acts the part. In-terms of design, Lexus made sure to include all the important features that make their cars unique, from the giant curved grill with it’s angular head to the famous boxy build and sharp edges. The Lexus RX 450h Hybrid has an excellent gas mileage with a combined average of almost 30 miles per gallon. The ride quality is very good and the interiors are upscale and feel brand new, which make it a fantastic daily driver. While the car isn't as fast and exciting as some of its competitors, namely the Jaguar I-Pace and the Audi e-tron, it still a great purchase if you're looking for a mid-end hybrid that does the job well.
Hyundai Sonata
Predicted Cost: $33,020
Hyundai has been making a serious effort in recent years to emulate the designs of their more European and sporty counterparts, such as Aston Martin or Jaguar, in an attempt to modernize the car and help it compete in a new market of futuristic sports cars. The 2020 Hyundai Sonata is another one of the company's attempts to create a sleek and menacing look rather than the usual round and generic build their cars usually have.
This year’s version of the Sonata looks very different from last year's, with a much lower profile and a more aerodynamic and “in your face” design. Hyundai also made sure to fit this one with some exciting state-of-the-art tech and features, including a large touchscreen that is floating center, a push-button gear selection system, and various safety upgrades that make the car super modern and desirable.
For the relatively low starting price of $33,020, you can get the 2020 Sonata, which includes an eight-speed automatic transmission and a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 180 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. You can also opt for the stronger version which hosts a 2.5 liter engine and a respectable 195 horsepower. Overall, the car is extremely attractive, especially in terms of dollar value, and even more when you consider that it goes from zero to sixty in just 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 135 miles per hour.
SEAT el-Born
Predicted Cost: $37,470
Our first entry from the popular SEAT is a rather interesting one. The company is mostly known for its sporty vehicles which cost somewhere between a Hyundai and a Mercedes and often provide a very entertaining driving experience. This is a very special SEAT though since it started out as a concept car in 2019, but quickly turned into a real vehicle when fans of the automaker showed unrivaled demand for the potential creation. We’re referring of-course to the 2020 Seat el-Born, the first all-electric SEAT to date. The car was originally designed as a soft-copy of the Mii Electric but quickly started to gain a life of its own.
While electric cars are amazing for the environment, they also have to be great for the consumer. Luckily, the el-Born provides a range of 261 miles per charge due to its 62kWh battery, and an electric motor that gets 201bhp. This electric hatchback sports a boxy look with many of SEATs popular hallmarks such as its very recognizable rear, threatening headlights shape, and distinct grille. It has a very beautiful pattern behind the rear windows that is meant to signify that you're looking at an electric vehicle. We expect to see the el-Born within the next few months for a very reasonable starting price of about $37,000
Lexus GX 460
Predicted Cost: $63,555
One of Lexus’ most expensive and interesting midsize SUVs is the 2020 GX 460. Like most of the automaker’s lineup, this is a very serious car both in design and performance. The GX 460 sports the usual jagged angular look and the iconic grill that makes Lexus recognizable. With the 2020 version of this three-rowed vehicle, we’re seeing a lot of upgrades and changes, starting from a new and much needed exterior redesign (including brand new headlights), an off-road package, and the mandatory improvements for the already advanced cargo-tech that is often found behind the wheel of Lexus cars.
We’ve found the 2020 GX 460 to be very similar to the Toyota Land Cruiser, although it’s clear that Lexus has the advantage when it comes to making you feel like it’s a lot more expensive than the latter. The car also has various new performance features, including Kinetic Dynamic Suspension underbody and bird’s eye cameras, low-speed cruise control, a fuel tank shield, and revised traction settings. Under the hood, you'll find a 4.6-liter V-8 that produces 301 horsepower and a zero-to-sixty acceleration of fewer than 8 seconds. This Lexus also benefits from its new Lexus' Safety System+ suite that has become standard on many of its vehicles.
Alfa Romeo Tonale
Predicted Cost: $35,000
In this day and age of environmental awareness and Tesla opening the electric car markets wide open, we’ve seen a huge rise in the number of hybrids and electrics that are being produced. It seems like every month we’re hearing of new production and concept for electric vehicles that’s going to change the world and almost all major car manufacturers have jumped into the eco-friendly car game. When Alfa Romeo announced their 2020 Tonale, many reviewers said that it “stole the show”. The new hybrid from the acclaimed and unique automaker is shaping up to be one of their most interesting creations.
The Tonale has long headlights, a uniquely low grill and a unique look that reminds us of a Nissan Juke. In terms of power, you’re looking at a 1.3 liter gas engine with an electric motor that helps energize the rear wheels and give the car 296 horsepower. In summary, the Tonale is a very pretty concept car that might just become the company's most successful compact crossover. It has a very promising future and we’re hopeful that the feeling of expectation will only increase among consumers and critics as more details come up in the near future.
Ram 1500
Predicted Cost: $31,895
Ram has always been known for having some of the biggest and baddest trucks on the market. The company has virtually dominated everything relating to trucks for many years, with Ford and Chevrolet only occasionally picking up the pace when competing. This is because Ram is focused almost exclusively on one thing — making the best trucks possible, and their new 1500 is one beast of a truck. The first thing to note about the 2020 Ram 1500 is that it has officially switched to diesel. It also has an improved torque of 480 pound-feet which is a very respectable amount.
The truck performs very well whether you’re on the road or on tough pavements. It also has a very well optimized cargo management and can tow up to 12,750 pounds using its 5.7L HEMI V8 engine that uses Torque Hybrid Technology to further boost its potential. Inside the cargo, you'll find some of the most luxurious and advanced systems in its class. The 2020 Ram 1500 is officially one of the world's most advanced pickups in-terms of technology, with a 12-inch touchscreen, digital cluster display, active noise cancellation, a terrific sound system with 19 speakers, dual-pane panoramic sunroof and very comfortable seats. If you’re looking to buy the absolute best half-ton truck, you should definitely put the 2020 Ram 1500 on the top of your list.
Toyota
Predicted Cost: $33,245
It might not be fair to go from the 2020 Ford F-150 straight to the 2020 Toyota Tundra, as the latter looks somewhat less desirable in juxtaposition. Regardless, the truck is a reliable piece of work and Toyota clearly worked hard to make it a decent competitor in the tough market of pickups. So far, critics aren’t sure whether to praise or criticize the Tundra because it’s quite a mixed bag of a truck.
One the one hand, the Tundra has a very good looking exterior design, excellent off-road performance and 401 pound-feet of torque. On the other hand, its interior leaves a lot to be desired especially when you compare it to other 2020 pick up truck options. The gas mileage of the Tundra is quite honestly awful, with 13 miles per gallon in the city, and finally, the powertrain is not even close to Ram, Chevrolet or Ford - with a towing ability only 10,200 pounds. The 2020 Toyota Tundra performs decently as a work truck, but if you’re looking for something more, then a Ford-150 or a Ram 1500 would likely be a much better option, albeit at a higher cost.
Toyota 4Runner
Predicted Cost: $36,020
The 2020 Toyota 4Runner is arguably one of the best vehicles your family can have if you're planning to take that intense desert and mountain vacation you've always talked about but never seemed to commit to. Imagine a modern mid-size SUV with 270 horsepower and excellent cargo capacity that can withstand everything from rough terrains to messy mountains.
Unfortunately for the 4Runner, the troubles don't start when you're actually offroad — they start on the way there. It seems that the 4Runners strengths, which include its rugged build and fantastic suspension, are actually its biggest problems in normal day to day driving. When you're on regular paved roads, the steering feels stiff and challenging. The 2020 4Runner integrated a variety of improvements to the vehicle's safety systems, including driver-assistance and pre-collision preventing through automated breaks. In summary, if you're looking for an excellent off-road vehicle to take specifically on tough terrains you'll be very pleased with the 4Runner. For all other uses, it'd be best to give this one a pass.
Porsche Cayenne
Predicted Cost: $66,800
The Porsche Cayenne is the automaker’s gift of combining both an SUV and a sports vehicle into one incredible driving experience. This has been similarly done by other popular car manufacturers such as the Mercedes GLC and the BMW X6, although there’s undoubtedly something very unique about the Cayenne, most likely in its ability to perform with the same intensity and glam of the 911 while also feeling very protected and daring inside its hunky exterior frame.
The Cayenne’s engine is a turbocharged V6 three-liter beast that produces 335 horsepower and 332 foot-pounds of torque, which is not surprising considering that it was originally designed by Audi. If you’re really brave and looking for the best performance the Cayenne offers, you can go for the upgraded version that includes a terrifying twin-turbo V8 four-liter engine that gives you a 541 horsepower, a 40% increase in strength to an already powerful engine. There’s not too much new in the 2020 version of the Cayenne except the usual small improvements here and there. The 2020 Porsche Cayenne starts at $66,800, the Cayenne Coupe is $75,300, and the Turbo Coupe starts at a whopping $130,100.
Land Rover Range Rover
Predicted Cost: $90,900
Land Rover’s popular Rover is one of their best selling and most highly acclaimed vehicles in recent years. The SUV-focused company has consistently released high-quality vehicles that are efficient both on city roads as-well-as on rough terrains. The 2020 version of the Rover offers considerable improvements from various high-tech updates to a seriously upgraded Terrain Response System, which was already highly acclaimed by reviewers in the first place. Morale is very high for Land Rover and consumers alike, with the company claiming that it is fully “poised, confident, and refined” for the coming release of the 2020 Rover.
The new Rover will also feature a variety of models to choose from, including the Velar S, Velar R-Dynamic SE, Velar, and Velar R-Dynamic HSE. The main difference between these versions is mostly the engine, so the more cash you’re willing to pay the stronger your Rover will be. The base version of the SUV starts at a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine and goes up to a five-liter V8 engine that produces some serious power. In terms of gas mileage, you’re looking at around 22 miles per gallon in the city and 28 on the highway, which we consider average.
T-Roc Convertible
Predicted Cost: $20,000
Volkswagen’s $20,000 T-Roc Convertible is basically a half-priced Range Rover Evoque convertible for people who are not looking to spend an exuberant amount of money on a competent SUV. The T-Roc convertible first appeared last year at the Frankfurt auto show in Germany and surprised audiences with its soft-top which takes only nine seconds to go from closed to open. If you’re the type of driver that likes to have the roof go down while you’re driving, you’ll be happy to hear you can take off the top as long as you’re driving below 20 miles per hour.
There are multiple models to choose from depending on your budget and power needs, including a 1-liter three-cylinder engine, a 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine, and a twin-turbo engine if you’re really looking for some power. Reactions to the Volkswagen T-Roc convertible have been mixed, with some applauding the car company for its bold steps, and other mocking the convertible as an April fool's joke.
Fiat 124
Predicted Cost: $25,390
Fiat surprised and thrilled fans when it announced its new Fiat 124. The great thing about Fiat’s sports cars is that they’re always bold, interesting and special. Not too much has changed in the 2020 version of the Fiat 124 except various safety upgrades, which are always welcome in a car that mostly caters to sports fans. The exterior of the car remains mostly unchanged, which is a great decision in our opinion because the 124 is an absolutely gorgeous piece of work. This is a really good sports car that’s cheap and offers a lot more than you hope, with excellent handling, efficient fuel economy, comfortable and great looking interiors, and a very user-friendly build.
The lightweight racer can go quite fast due to its turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine and 160 horsepower; You should expect a zero to sixty climb in just around six seconds. For all intents and purposes, as long as you're not an exceptionally tall person and don't need to load too much stuff in the trunk, there’s no reason why you won’t thoroughly enjoy driving the 124, otherwise known as the "Spider". Prices for the 2020 Fiat 124 start at around $25,000, making it one of the most affordable sports cars in the world.
Jaguar I-PACE
Predicted Cost: $69,850
Jaguar has recently made the exciting jump to electric vehicles with its I-PACE series, along with Audi who came out with their incredible e-tron not too long ago. The company is known for its prestigious cars and high-tech interiors, so it was only fitting for the I-PACE to be just as equipped, if not more, than their regular lineup of vehicles. You can get up to 234 miles driving the car on battery alone, but would also enjoy an extremely eco-friendly 80 miles per gallon when driving in the city.
The I-PACE accelerates at a terrifying speed thanks to its electric motor and 394 horsepower and can go from zero to sixty in less than five seconds while driving in absolute silence. If you’re afraid that the lack of roar from not having a V8 engine would be a problem, you can rest assured because the I-PACE comes with complimentary pseudo-engine sounds for those who need to hear their cars go “VROOM” when kicking the pedal. Jaguar provides the electrical SUV in multiple models, starting from the S version and going up to the HSE which can go from zero to sixty in just 4.5 seconds. Base price starts at around $69,000, but the fully equipped version could take you up to around $90,000.
Acura RDX
Predicted Cost: $37,600
If you’re looking for an excellent SUV that closely resembles the Audi Q5 and BMW X3/4 without having to pay the additional price increase that comes with the brands, you should definitely check out the 2020 Acura RDX — one of the most attractive small luxury SUVs of this generation. The Acura RDX boasts an insanely comfortable interior that provides a quiet and relaxing driving experience you’d expect from an $80,000+ car of the same class. The RDX is definitely not as fast or refined as its German competitors, but it is more than justified by the insanely low price relative to its value.
The crossover has a 10-speed automatic that works smoothly and without any jerkiness. It has a very respectable 272 horsepower thanks to the 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that Acura installed in the model. Although the attractiveness of the Audi and BMW competitors absolutely can't be ignored, it's still the classic Apple vs. Android fight of whether you'd rather pay more to feel better about yourself, or go for the much cheaper but less satisfying device that delivers the good and keeps your wallet happy.
GMC Acadia
Predicted Cost: $29,800
The 2020 version of GMC's Acadia features an attractive and updated design, superior interior infotainment systems and an abundance of storage capacity. The three-row crossover is certainly a good entry for its own sake, but it finds some trouble fitting in due to the car's features not fully justifying $30,000 price tag attached to it. Many fans of the Acadia admire its boxy design and attractive cabin, especially with its 2020 facelift which includes improved LED headlights and an improved grille and rear.
The Acadia comes in a variety of versions from the basics 2.5 liter four-cylinder model which provides 193 horsepower to the improved 3.6 liter V6 which gives it 310 horsepower and a zero to sixty time of just over six seconds. You might want to stay away from the higher horsepower versions though since Acadia spits out 27 miles per gallon on the highway. The five models of the 2020 Acadia are the SL for $30,995, the SLE for $34,995, the SLT for $39,995, the AT4 for $42,495 and the Denali which goes for $47,495.
Jaguar XF
Predicted Cost: $51,100
The Jaguar XF and the Jaguar XE have been a staple lineup of the automaker for many years, so it’s only fitting that Jaguar pays its dues to the long-running brands by keeping them updated and current. The 2020 Jaguar XF comes with the expected sexy design and incredible ride experience. The company made several upgrades to the car which include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, parking sensors (front and back) and more as standard features.
Although the company shifted most of its focus and resources in recent years to eco-friendly vehicles and its popular SUV models, the XF sedan manages to keep what makes the car great, and pack it all up with a powerful supercharged V6 that equips you with 380 horsepowers. Jaguar decided to give up hybrid and diesel options with the 2020 XF and only provides a gas powered version. You can expect to get 35 miles per gallon out of the car, which puts it at a disadvantage when compared to the BMW 5-series, Mercedes E-class and the Audi A6. The 2020 Jaguar XF starts at $51,100 and goes up to $71,800 for the fully equipped version. It's definitely a comfortable, fun and engaging ride, but only if you can ignore the fact that the Jag is lacking in performance when compared to its competition.
Subaru Ascent
Predicted Cost: $31,995
The 2020 Subaru Ascent is your run-of-the-mill midsize 3-row SUV. Subaru some upgrades to this year's model including a standard rear-seat reminder alert system and power-folding side mirrors. The car is praised for having a high-quality cabin that includes comfortable materials and an above-average infotainment system.
We were also happy to hear that the Ascent comes with improved safety features, including DriverFocus, which detects when you’re tired or distracted while driving by monitoring your eyes. Critics of the Ascent mostly have issues with it's overly sensitive engine and noise sounds and the poor suspension which leads to some pretty rough shakes when traversing over bumps. The Ascent is powered by a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, and can be used for your average heavy-duty work with 5,000 pounds of towing power. You can expect a 23 miles per gallon combined consumption based on ratings from the EPA. Prices for the 2020 Ascent start at $31,995 and go up to $45,045 for the touring version.
Bugatti Centodieci
Predicted Cost: $9 million
Bugatti has become a mainstream name in recent years after the Bugatti Veyron managed to break the Guinness World Records as the fastest street-legal production car in the world, with a top speed of 267 miles per hour. Since then, the company has produced a few more of these supercars including the Chiron Sport which was even better than the Veyron. The car we’re getting from Bugatti in 2020 is actually very different from these two supercars, in that it is actually a throwback to the past rather than an attempt to reach the future. What most people don’t know is that Bugatti was originally founded back in 1909 and was closed in 1963 before being revived in the ‘90s.
The 2020 Bugatti Centodieci is an ode to the company’s original supercar and contains a W16 engine that produces 1,180 pound-feet of torque and 1,600 horsepower. The Bugatti accelerates from zero to sixty in just 2.4 seconds with a top speed of 236 miles per hour. The Centodieci vastly departs from the Chiron in-terms of style, and much more closely resembles the 1930s Type 57 SC Atlantic, or the Bugatti EB110. You can purchase the Centodieci for just under $9,000,000. Pricey yes, but you’ll sure to feel like you’re flying!
Pagani 2020
Predicted Cost: $3.4 million
million Another supercar that just has to be mentioned on this list is the Pagani 2020. The creation of the Pagani 2020 was the result of painstaking effort on the part of its engineers to produce the highest-quality, most aerodynamic, best driving and fastest legal street-car to ever hit the road. It’s the spiritual successor to the Pagani Huayra and is aimed to be better than the supercar in every way possible.
The Pagani 2020 is made of carbon triax which that offers an increase of 12% in torsional rigidity and 20% in flexural rigidity. What powers this monster is a V12 60° 36 valves 5,980 cc twin turbocharger engines that were developed by Mercedes' AMG and produce 800 horsepowers and one of the best weight-power ratios in the world. We still don’t know exactly how fast this car accelerates, but it’s highly likely that it will go from zero to sixty in just under three seconds. Prices for the Pagani 2020 start at a whopping $3,500,000 and you better hurry because according to our sources, only 40 units of this beast are going to be produced.
Bugatti Divo
Predicted Cost: $5.8 million
Along with it’s throwback vehicle, the Centodieci, Bugatti also aims to reach boldly into the future with it’s Divo — an even stronger and more impressive version of the Chiron, which itself was a vastly upgraded version of the Guinness-World-Record-holding Veyron. The Divo takes everything that made the previous two supercars special and just blows it through the roof with its unmatched style that screams power, an even better aerodynamic structure, lighter build, and upgraded suspension.
Frankly, we don’t understand how Bugatti manages to keep these cars from flying in mid-acceleration despite continually improving their performance. In any case, the 2020 Divo goes from zero to sixty in just 2.4 seconds due to its eight-liter W16 engine that has four turbochargers and produces 1,500 horsepower. Bugatti’s monster is an all-wheel-drive and has a seven-speed auto transmission. Since it's one of the most exotic cars in the world, only 40 units will be produced and all have already been sold for about $5,800,000 each. The Divo is truly a car that even rich people can only dream of, and its unmistakably one of the best cars ever made.
Pininfarina Battista
Predicted Cost: $3 million
In case you thought this couldn’t get any crazier, apparently, the Divo has already been bested in terms of performance by this electric supercar. The Pininfarina Battista, otherwise known as the “car of the future”, is a fully-carbon built monster designed for pure speed, with 1,900 horsepower (much more than the Divo), 1696 pound-feet of torque and a zero to sixty acceleration at a mere 2 seconds. This creation by Rimac, which we’ve previously featured for their electric C_2 supercar, is a very exclusive vehicle with only 150 units being made and sold for around $3 million each.
The Pininfarina Battista is considered the world's most powerful road-legal car ever designed and also the world's first pure electric luxury hyper GT. Its name is a tribute to the founder of Pininfarina, Battista Farina. If you’re looking for a car that will take you from zero to 200 miles per hour in less time than it takes for most car to reach 60, and also you happen to have a few million dollars lying around, you should definitely check out the limited Pininfarina Battista which will most likely run out of units very soon. We’d be happy just to sit on the side and keep staring at this beauty.
Alfa Romeo GTV
Predicted Cost: $75,000
Alfa Romeo’s upcoming 2020 GTV is the more luxurious brother of the popular Giulia series. The hybrid GTV has over 600 horsepower thanks to its 2.9 litre twin-turbo V6 and its electric motor which can drive for just 30 miles on purely electric mode. We expect to drive Alfa Romeo's new creation in 2021 and see how it holds up against its popular German rivals, the BMW 4-series, Audi A5 and Mercedes C-class Coupe.
It's highly likely that the 2020 Alfa Romeo GTV will cost more than its Giulia brother, and most likely more than $40,000 but less than $80,000 with upgraded models likely adding another $10k to the total price tag. Were also expecting Alfa Romeo to introduce lower-tier versions of the car for those with tighter budgets that will offer a better price tag at the cost of some of its performance abilities. Whether or not the car will be a success likely depends on how it will be received in this crowded market. Lately the company has seen a very respectable increase in sales, we hope they do right in 2020 to continue this momentum.
Jaguar F-Type
Predicted Cost: $61,600
If there’s a car that truly justifies Jaguar’s name, it would be, without a doubt, the Jaguar F-Type R model. This supercar is a fast and mean machine, and anyone who’s ever heard an F-Type R start will tell you it roars and crackles just like a Jaguar should thank to the incredible 5-L V8 engine. The F-Type comes in multiple versions depending on your budget and preferences; With all of them being quite fast but nevertheless adding incremental speed. You can choose from a 2-L, four-cylinder engine, a 3-L V6 engine, or a 5-L V8 engine that produces 575 horsepower.
The car also comes in a convertible version which detracts a bit from the perfect build but definitely makes the ride cooler. With all options of the car you’ll be getting high-quality stitched leather seating with all the expected amenities such as seat warmers. In-terms of gas mileage you’re looking at about 23 miles per gallon in the city and 30 on the highway, but nobody really buys an F-Type to save on their gas bill. The new Jag sports a slightly reshaped bumper and new taillights on the 2020 F-Type's exterior design and some improvements to its infotainment system including a more feature-rich touchscreen. Other than that not much has changed, and that's good because the Jaguar F-Type is already quite amazing.
Audi Sport EV
Predicted Cost: $74,800
Audi has made some serious advancements into the eco-friendly territory in recent years, from introducing various hybrid versions of their popular cars to the fantastic e-Tron which stands in a class of its own. We recently learned that the Audi Sport EV, which is based mostly on the Audi TT and the Audi R8, is going to get a new release in 2020. The hybrid will have a fantastic fuel economy thanks to an efficient ending and powertrain combination, which lends it a respectable 582 horsepower.
Audi claims that the vehicle will be able to go from zero to sixty in supercar speeds at just 3.5 seconds and be able to reach a limited top speed of 149 miles per hour. In terms of range, you'll be able to drive the 2020 Sport EV for a bit less than 250 miles on a single charge, and Audi claims you'll be able to charge 80% of the battery in just 20 minutes through a 350kW rapid charging point. It's likely going to cost around $75,000 and be available for purchase in mid-2021.
Kia Mohave
Predicted Cost: $39,232
The 2020 Kia Mohave is a large SUV that was recently revealed by Kia in South Korea during the Seoul Motor Show in the country's capital. The vehicle reveals an incredible design that has been completely revamped over previous generations, including quad LEDs in the headlight pods, a massive boxy appearance complemented by an extremely rugged look. Other new additions to the exterior include a new bumper design, a new bonnet, four exhaust tips and a beautiful wide LED tail-light with the bold Mohave design.
This beast is powered by a 191kW/560Nm 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6, although its reporter that 3.8 liter V6 and 4.6-liter V8 versions might be sold too. The safety features of the 2020 Mohave also received a serious upgrading, including a surround-view camera system, hill start assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning and more. The Mohave is available now in South Korea with prices starting from $57,400 and can be purchased in five, six and seven-seat models.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe
Predicted Cost: $39,000
BMWs 2020 2-Series Gran Coupe is going to be a major shift for the company in a few key aspects. First thing you should know about the new car is that it will be a front based sedan. This is a big deal because it’s the first time that BMW has ever sold a front-drive car of that kind in the United States. You can get the new 2 Series Gran Coupe in its 218i version, which includes a 138bhp 1.5-liter turbo three-cylinder motor, and a diesel-engined 220d xDrive with 187bhp. Another option is the premium M235i model that packs a turbocharged four-cylinder petrol motor developing that outputs 302 horsepower.
The two models, which are mostly different in their engines, will go for $38,000 for the 228i xDrive and $48,000 for the M235i xDrive. You should expect great performance from the basic 228i engine, but nobody buys a BMW to compromise anyway. In-terms of features, you should expect the same great new tech that is introduced in the various 2020 BMW models such as lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, and pedestrian detection with automatic braking.
Mazda RX-9
Predicted Cost: $90,000
One of the best looking new cars in 2020 is without a doubt the Mazda RX-9. The automaker has been dabbling in sports cars for many years now but it appears that Mazda has truly decided to take the next step into what can be described as their first true supercar. With a sleek design and some incredible equipment under the hood, it looks like the RX-9 is slated to be one of the Japanese car manufacturers' most impressive vehicles to date.
Originally announced in 2015 as the RX-Vision, Mazda quickly decided to change the name to the much more fitting and awesome-sounding RX-9. The car is slated for a January 2020 release, just in time for Mazda's 100th anniversary, and would cost around $75,000 as a starting price. It's strongly believed that the RX-9 will contain the legendary Mazda Wankel rotary engine, last used in the Mazda RX-8, as it uses an eccentric rotary design to turn pressure into a motion of rotation. Unfortunately, executives at the company have alluded that this may not be the case. Either way, this is shaping up to be one incredible sports car.
Cadillac Escalade
Predicted Cost: $75,195
The Cadillac Escalade is one of the world’s most luxurious and best-reviewed SUVs of all time. This humungous vehicle stands at massive dimensions of 204” long, 81” wide, and 74” tall. 6.2-liter V-8 delivers 420 horsepowers and allows it to go from zero to sixty in an unbelievable 6 seconds. It’s expected that the gas mileage on such a massive car would be quite steep and indeed, the Escalade burns 14 miles per gallon in the city and 23 on the highway.
The Escalade has been generally favored due to its strong engine and super-fast acceleration, its excellent towing abilities at 8,000 pounds, and a very comfortable plush interior that's common in most of Cadillac's lineup. It's a big and bold vehicle, and looks especially intimidating when you go for the black color. If you can get over the insane amount of fuel consumption, you'd be happy to get the 2020 Cadillac Escalade for $75,195 or the long-wheelbase version, called the Escalade ESV, for $78,195. This is truly one extraordinary large luxury SUV.
Polestar 3/4
Predicted Cost: $63,000/$155,000
When the Volvo Polestar 3 and 4 were first announced, they were being pre-ordered like no other car from the popular automaker. The Polestar 3 and 4 are part of a new line of groundbreaking cars Volvo is working on, both in their design and in their internal systems. With an all-electric engine and a fantastic 275 miles of range on a single charge, Volvo is truly positioning themselves to pioneer the electric cars market along with Elon Musk’s Tesla brand.
The company is as ambitious as ever and aims to have four of these vehicles already on the roads and in the hands of consumers by the end of 2020. Each of the four Polestars will be unique in their own way, and based on Volvo’s incredible track record for innovation in the tech and safety departments, we’re confident that these bad boys will blow away consumer’s minds.
Mercedes-Benz EQC
Predicted Cost: $90,000
As we’ve said before, EVERYONE is joining the electric car market, because like it or not, the eco-friendly vehicles are quickly becoming a modern reality. Although the first electric car was invented back in the ‘30s, it took Tesla to wake up the market and show consumers just how great these noiseless and energy-efficient vehicles can be. Mercedes is no different of-course and has also joined the fully-electric car market with its 2020 Mercedes EQC. It’s going to be a very tight race to see who's the best electric car manufacturer, and competition will undoubtedly accelerate progress in this already progressive market.
The EQC maintains the same body structure as the GLC, except instead of a fuel tank you’ll get a charging point just in the right rear of the car. Like many of its electric counterparts, the EQC accelerate fast, with a zero to sixty time of 4.9 seconds, according to Mercedes. Under the hood you’re going to find 2 asynchronous electric motor, generating 402 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque, making this a considerable vehicle. Models of the car will begin selling in early 2020 and the price will be around $70,000.
Land Rover Road Rover
Predicted Cost: $90,900
Even the SUV giant Land Rover has joined the electrical fight, its first contender being the Road Rover. This electrical SUV will take you 300 miles on a single charge thanks to the same technology that helps power the Jaguar XJ. This medium-SUV has a goal of dominating the market by offering the best that Land Rover can give in an extremely eco-friendly fashion. This all-wheel-drive vehicle features the traditional and recognizable look of the Land Rover while inserting some light touches to makes sure that passersby know you’re driving an electric car (other than the soundless driving of course).
Land Rover has always been a very flexible brand and allows you to start your day by going to the mall and a nice cafe with the family, then driving straight into the mountains for some off-road action. It appears that the Road Rover will allow you to do exactly that, but with more style and arguably faster acceleration. This car is coming to the market very soon, expect to see more details in the following months just prior to its entrance into the market.
BMW i4
Predicted Cost: $50,000
BMW is making major advances into the electric market as-well, with the i4 being the car maker’s response to the Model 3 Tesla and the Audi e-GT. It appears that out of all the regular suspects, BMW is putting in the extra effort to really make itself stand apart in the electric market. While most car manufacturers opt to take one of their famous models, make some minor adjustments to the exterior and label it their debut electrical, it seems that BMW is re-inventing what an electric car should look like, with one of the most futuristic car designs we’ve ever seen done successfully.
It seems that this Jetsons-esque vehicle isn’t just eye-candy, as the I4 comes with an all-wheel-drive and two electric motors taking you from zero to sixty in 4 seconds flat using its 530 horsepower. It also has an extremely impressive 80kWh battery that will suffice for 350 miles on a full charge. We’ll emphasize the main point here, BMW is taking a strong offensive with their i4, and there’s a very good chance that they might just steal a large percentage of their market due to their unwillingness to compromise on originality, creativity, delivery, and style.
Jeep Wrangler Plug-in Hybrid
Predicted Cost: $31,295
One of the biggest problems with SUVs and pickup trucks is their incredible appetite for fuel. It’s not uncommon to see one of these bad boys guzzling an impressive 30+ miles per gallon when driving in the city. Jeep is trying to remedy that problem by creating a plug-in hybrid version of their beloved Jeep Wrangler, and is expected to release the new car model sometime in 2020. The main premise and idea behind making a hybrid of such an unexpected car is the dramatic improvement we are likely going to see in the hybrid Wrangler’s fuel economy.
The car was recently spotted being test-driven at the Jeep Auburn Hills, Michigan plant, and so far it looks like the car maker is going to keep every last bit of its sense of adventure, while also making sure there would be an environment to enjoy in the coming years and decades. In-terms of its abilities to drive in water, we’re happy to tell you that the Wrangler would be just as able to drive in anything below two feet of water without a problem.
Genesis G70 Coupe
Predicted Cost: $53,245
The Genesis is a luxury division of the popular South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai, and was first founded just 4 years ago towards the end of 2015. While being fairly competitive, it still has a long way from reaching mainstream attention, with Genesis G70 Coupe as its newest addition to the Genesis series for 2020. The company made sure to pull out all the stops and provide the consumer with a versatile and edgy vehicle that tries to compete with the German giants.
The G70 will have a set of 3.3 liter twin-turbo V6 engines that push together an impressive 365 horsepower. The vehicle is set to face off with some fierce competition, mainly from the Audi RS4 and the BMW M3, but it seems Genesis will give them a good fight with this year’s updated model. You can expect this athletic sedan to go from zero to sixty in about four seconds, making it a great player in the competitive sport sedans market. The G70 is part of Genesis’ efforts to compete in multiple new frontiers, including their Essentia EV which is an all-electric supercar with a zero to sixty acceleration at a whopping three seconds.
BMW M3
Predicted Cost: $70,000
While the BMW 7-Series is one of the German automakers' best executive luxury cars, the M3 is a pure beast that’s made for speed enthusiasts who are looking for an extremely fast and stable racer. BMW recently described their 2020 release of the M3 as having their strongest ever engine. The 2020 M3 will be powered by the same twin-turbo six-cylinder S58 engine as its high-performance SUVs, the X3M and the X4M, so you can expect 510 horsepowers and a zero to sixty of less than three seconds.
It's speculated that the new M3 will cost around $70,000 as a starting price, but as you probably know by now, adding even some of BMW's optional add-ons will quickly turn the price up to a much higher amount. It’s going to be a hard choice for sports enthusiasts whether to go for the BMW M3 or the upcoming 2020 Audi RS4; What’s known for sure is that both cars are extremely impressive and will give any speed daredevil a run for their money.
Mazdaspeed 3
Predicted Cost: $21,300
Mazda has really been pulling out all the stops this year when it comes to their sports lines. In addition to the Mazda RX-9 that’s slated to come out this year, the Japanese automaker is also working on this brand new sports car called the Mazdaspeed3. You can choose to get the Mazdaspeed3 in either sedan or hatchback and can go for either a single-engine or a 2.5-liter inline-four. Mazda also made sure to give racing drivers a wink by adding manual transmission as an optional choice, if that’s what you prefer, and some incredible driving and safety features to boot.
Every Mazdaspeed3 comes with an active drive-assist system, as-well-as a lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitors. This makes the Mazdaspeed3 a very safe car, which is especially important considering that it's projected to be one of the faster cars that the carmaker has produced in recent years. You can expect to get the Mazdaspeed3 for a very reasonable price of just over $20,000. Whether or not the low cost will be felt in the end result or come as a huge bonus remains to be seen.
Hyundai Santa Cruz Pickup
Predicted Cost: $18,000
It’s an understatement to say that Hyundai isn’t exactly known for their pickup trucks. The South Korean automaker mostly specializes in entry-level and executive vehicles, which makes sense because South Koreans aren’t nearly as obsessed about offroad action as Americans. In 2015, an executive at Hyundai thought it would be a good idea to try building a pickup truck that caters to North American audiences. It took three attempts at approving the project before the Hyundai Santa Cruz Pickup went from an idea to an actual car for sale. Kia and Hyundai are partnering up to develop the car together, meaning that we’re likely to see a Kia pickup of a similar kind soon.
The compact truck will be built at Hyundai's manufacturing plant in Alabama and is set for a 2021 release. The companies are planning to invest $410 million to expand their facilities for this process while creating an additional 200 jobs. It's believed that the Santa Cruz Pickup will feature a 2.5-liter I-4 engine boasting 191 horsepower. Whether or not it ends up performing to satisfactory results remains to be seen. One thing we can say for sure is that the Santa Cruz Pickup is an absolute joy to behold.
Nissan Z
Predicted Cost: $30,090
Nissan has been working hard over the last few years to create some truly amazing sports cars, with many fans claiming that the Nissan 370Z and the GT-R are some of the best sports cars in recent generations. In 2020, Nissan is going to add a new car to its lineup of sports vehicles and everyone is already getting excited. According to Nissan, the 2020 Nissan Z is a small supercar of its own, with 350 horsepower thanks to its brutal 3.7-liter V6 engine. In-terms of gas-mileage, the company claims you should expect 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 on the highway, which is quite high, even for a sports car.
The Nissan Z will arrive in multiple models and includes either manual or automatic transmission. You’ll have a choice between a base version, a touring version or a NISMO version, with the former costing around $30,000 and the later a much higher $47,000. We’re extremely excited to give the Nissan Z a go when it hopefully comes out in mid-2020, mostly because the 370Z and the GT-R have both been incredible sports cars and Nissan is likely going to raise the bar even further with this one.
Cadillac Escalade ESV
Predicted Cost: $78,195
You may have noticed that the 2020 Cadillac Escalade was already mentioned a few entries back, but the ESV letters at the end of its name are what make this car into a completely different beast. The 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV is a redesigned version of the Escalade with 300 fewer pounds of weight and a new platform similar to the one on the 2019 Silverado and the Sierra 1500. You can expect to find a new independent rear suspension option which makes rides more comfortable according to Cadillac, as-well-as new tech options, including new gauge displays and a redesigned infotainment system.
The biggest difference between the Escalade and Escalade ESV is the length of the cars. The standard Escalade measures at a length of 203.9 inches while the ESV adds an extra 21 inches to a total of 224, which gives it a much larger cargo, more room for passengers, and a fuel capacity of 31 gallons instead of 26. Both cars remain as some of the most popular cars in the luxury SUV market.
Chevrolet FNR-X
Predicted Cost: $35,000
It took Chevrolet three years to take its concept of the FNR-X from concept to execution. The car originally debuted in 2017 to mixed reactions and is slated to hit the markets sometime in 2020. The FNR-X is Chevrolet’s version of an excellent hybrid that’s fast, modern and sleek. Its design is much edgier and bold than Chevy’s usual lineup, making it a great contender for one of next year’s best new surprises. Some of the features you’re going to find in the FNR-X include remote control doors, speech recognition, a customizable ID information system, and the beloved driver assist.
You can expect a decent-sized cargo in the FNR-X, especially when compared to some of Chevy’s other vehicles. The plug-in hybrid contains both a regular engine and an electric motor, with two driving modes — the 'V' which stands for Versatility and the 'S' which stands for Sports. You'll also enjoy a dynamic and customizable suspension and handling profile which you can tailor on-demand based on your style and needs. If you’re looking to purchase a hybrid car in the next few months, it might be a good idea to wait until next year because this just might be the ideal car for you.
BMW X3e
Predicted Cost: $65,000
The last entry on our list is also one of the most exciting. BMW has been selling its luxurious X SUV lineup like crazy over the past few years, mostly due to its high quality coupled with an incredibly sleek design and fairly affordable price. The 2020 BMW X3e is the German automaker’s first attempt at turning its popular SUV into a hybrid plug-in. It has the same powertrain as the 330e sedan and includes a 2.0L turbo-four-engine and an electric motor, which gives it an honorable output of 252 horsepower.
You can expect a zero to sixty acceleration time of 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 130 miles per hour, making it a relatively fast SUV. In case you’re interested in purchasing BMW’s hybrid SUV, you can expect a price tag of about $65,000, but for now, the ball remains in BMW’s court to prove that the X3e functions as an optimal family car, if it wants to be successful.
