Anyone from California will tell you that In-N-Out is the best burger spot in all the land. Okay, maybe not everyone, but you get the idea. Olivia is definitely Team In-N-Out because she couldn’t get enough of the California classic when she visited Los Angeles with her friend Jessica.
The two girls are sitting in their local In-N-Out with the perfect combo of a burger, fries, and a shake. Livvy captioned her photo, “Sooo round 3??!” Who can blame her? Those burgers are to die for, and she’s squeezing in as many of them as possible before she has to fly back home.
Who is Olivia Dunne?
If you’re not into social media or the sport of gymnastics, you may be wondering who Olivia Dunne is. Well, the sooner you learn Olivia’s name, the better. The 20-something college student is a rising star in the world of artistic gymnastics and a definite name to watch. She’s made a name for herself on and off the mat, accumulating a huge fanbase on Instagram and TikTok.
While Olivia is an accomplished student and gymnast, most of the attention surrounding her career has been focused on her social media presence. She has over 7 million followers on TikTok and another four million followers on Instagram, and her reach is only growing.
The Girl Behind the Socials
When people first encounter Olivia Dunne’s photos and videos on social media, many are dazzled by her good looks and stunning outfits. To the untrained eye, she probably looks like your average social media influencer. However, behind all the glitz and glam is a young woman who has achieved a huge amount of success in a flourishing gymnastics career.
She’s also just your average college student who is currently enrolled at Louisiana State University. Well, maybe not “average.” During her time with the LSU Tigers gymnastics team, she has become the highest-earning college athlete on social media. She’s raking in the dough through lucrative name, image, and likeness deals, all before the age of 21.
A Whole New Playing Field for Young Athletes
A huge reason for Olivia’s financial success is due to a change of policy by the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA). As of July 2021, the NCAA can no longer restrict collegiate athletes from making money through name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals.
This change in policy has opened the door for young athletes like Olivia to huge amounts of money before even being signed to a professional sports team. It’s a new frontier in the world of college sports, and Olivia is one of the athletes leading the charge with her extraordinary social media presence. She credits a lot of her growth to LSU, where she loves practicing gymnastics and attending classes. She even has her own fancy name placard in the LSU gym.
Changing the World of Gymnastics
Olivia Dunne’s fame is also changing the landscape of gymnastics as a whole. Before her rise to fame, most people only paid attention to artistic gymnastics during the Olympics. After the Olympic games end, gymnastics usually fades from public consciousness until the next round of publicity.
Now, with Olivia’s constant social media presence and attention-grabbing posts, gymnastics has surged in popularity and gained many new fans. She may not be the highest-performing gymnast in America (yet), but she and fellow college gymnasts like Isabella Magnelli are certainly bringing the artistic sport to the forefront of peoples’ minds in a creative way that hasn’t been done before.
The Fame and the Fans
Despite Olivia’s millions of fans, some people don’t quite understand why she’s so famous. After all, she’s just a young college student posting pretty pictures, right? The truth is that Olivia Dunne might be an “it girl” of the moment, but her social influence shouldn’t be dismissed or ignored. Regardless of what some people think, there’s no denying that Olivia is achieving a level of success most of us can only dream about.
Underneath the TikTok filters and funny sound bites is a young woman who is making a name for herself in more ways than one. Olivia is part of a new generation of college athletes who are charting new territory in an ever-changing media landscape and under a new NCAA financial policy.
Olivia’s Athletic Beginnings
Before Olivia’s meteoric rise to social media fame, she was just a girl growing up in Hillsdale, New Jersey. Olivia Page Dunne was born on October 1, 2002, to David and Katherine Dunne. Athletics were a big part of her family from the get-go. Her dad played football during his college years at Rutgers University. Her sister, Julianna, is an accomplished athlete as well and was a star softball player in high school.
Olivia got her start in the world of gymnastics at the age of three. According to Olivia, she pestered her parents to sign her up for gymnastics because she “wanted a sparkly pink leotard.”
A Natural Gymnast
Little did Olivia know that the sparkly pink costume of her dreams would be the start of an exciting career path. A young Olivia was a natural at gymnastics, learning how to do perfect cartwheels and backflips in no time. Her parents recognized her natural talent and began fostering her passion for the sport.
When she was only five years old, Olivia joined the Eastern National Academy of Paramus, a highly-rated gymnastics school. ENA Paramus soon recognized Olivia’s skills and invited her to try out for the competitive pre-team. Unsurprisingly, Olivia surpassed expectations and began competing against other gymnasts her age in the New Jersey area.
Progress Makes Perfect
Olivia has been breaking gymnastics records since the very beginning. She won the Level Four New Jersey State Championship and broke the state’s all-around record in the process. After that, she quickly advanced all the way up to Level Eight within one year. By the age of nine, she was competing at Level Nine, which is just one level shy of competing at the Elite Level.
Some of the Level Nine requirements include being able to do “one leap or jump with a 180° split” and a minimum of “three different saltos” within a floor routine, according to Gymnastics HQ. Once Olivia reached the Elite Level, she was ready to make her national gymnastics debut.
Her Social Media Beginnings
Olivia’s elite debut was at the 2014 American Classic. She was only around 12 years old, so it’s pretty impressive that she finished in 28th place in the all-around. She only got better with each new competition. She continued to compete at the U.S. Classic, WOGA Classic, and American Classic through the next two years.
She made her debut at the National Championships in 2015 and finished in 25th place in the all-around. During the course of her early competitions, her mom, Katherine, was super supportive. She started blogging and uploading YouTube footage of her daughter’s competitions, giving gymnastics fans a glimpse into Olivia’s future social media presence.
What’s Under the Christmas Tree?
Before Olivia blew up on TikTok, she was already making a name for herself on Instagram. This adorable post from 2018 shows the gymnast with her brand-new puppy under the symbolic mistletoe. That’s one lucky dog, at least according to the hundreds of comments she received. Thankfully, Livvy is just as obsessed with her pup as her fans are.
“My dog is prettier than me,” Olivia wrote on a TikTok video she posted the next summer. The video shows her adorable puppy stumbling around like the cutie she is, and fans couldn’t get enough. Some of her followers responded with gushing comments about the puppy, while others insisted Olivia would always be the prettiest of the two.
The Girl Next Door
Olivia, or “Livvy” as she’s known to friends and fans, shares content about her gymnastics career once in a while. However, the thing that has made her so popular is her undeniable beauty. Since her high school days, Livvy has posted more personal content about her makeup, outfits, and lifestyle instead of the usual gymnastics updates.
She has that “girl next door” look that lots of people her age find appealing. Who else can effortlessly pull off a denim jacket and a high ponytail while making it look like high fashion? We sure can’t. This photo is totally giving us Ariana Grande vibes, and we’re not mad about it.
A Passion for Fashion
These days, Olivia sports the bedazzled Louisiana State uniform at gymnastics meets. But she’s always had an interest in gymnastics costuming, long before her rise to fame and big-name brand deals. “Fashion has always been a huge passion of mine,” she explained in an interview.
“Before college, my coach and I would design my own custom leotards for all my major competitions. I love expressing myself through my style.” Her designs even won a few small contests back in the day. Thankfully, Livvy’s LSU leotards are just as bedazzled and stunning as her pre-college creations. This snap of her at a meet proves that she effortlessly pulls off any look without a hitch.
From Venice, with Love
Olivia’s successful career has given her plenty of opportunities to travel and see the world. This cute photo in Venice, Italy, shows a smiling Livvy perched above the famous Venetian canals. She traveled to Italy in 2018 to compete in the Jesolo Trophy Cup. The event marked her senior debut, and Olivia was thrilled.
In an interview with Flogymnastics, Olivia explained how excited she was to debut a more grown-up routine and compete against the older girls at the international competition. We’re glad to see she got a chance to take a break from gymnastics and do a little sightseeing in the beautiful heart of Venice.
Meeting an Icon
Even though Olivia is a famous influencer, she still gets star-struck from time to time. She has met and befriended world-famous gymnast Simone Biles, arguably one of the greatest gymnasts of all time. Olivia excitedly posted this photo of her and Simone at a National Team camp for junior and senior gymnasts.
Although Olivia hasn’t competed at the Olympic level, many fans have compared her skillset to Simone’s. Despite some media outlets trying to create catty drama, Olivia very obviously has huge respect for Simone. She’s made a few TikToks where she praises the famous gymnast, including one where she defended Simone’s decision to withdraw from the 2021 Olympics.
Snow Bunny
Olivia has been a gymnast for most of her life, but she also enjoys other sports. Being an East Coast girl, she loves to venture to the mountains and snowboard when winter comes around. As always, she looks great while doing it. She accessorizes her snow pants with cute and subtle pieces, proving that she’s a fashionista wherever she goes.
Her cute beanie with a pom pom on top is perfectly dusted with snow, and her long-sleeve tee shows how down-to-earth she is. Olivia posted this photo in 2018 with a short but sweet caption reading, “Chill.” She had yet to reach her current height of internet fame back then, but early fans could already tell that she was a natural model.
She Loves You, She Loves You Not
Say what you will about Olivia Dunne. One thing we can all agree on is that she is obviously gorgeous. Her natural beauty and flair for makeup have gained her a pretty large following of admirers. She uses that to her advantage, often posting suggestive photos and captions that tease at some kind of mystery boyfriend.
However, according to the rumor mill, Olivia doesn’t currently have a boyfriend. She’s at the point in her career where she could probably snag any college guy she wanted, but she’s probably too busy for all that. In the meantime, her internet admirers can continue commenting on her posts in the hope that one day, she’ll notice them.
Uncharted Territory
The thing about being a social media influencer is that strangers on the internet will inevitably voice their opinions about you. Grown men and women have critiqued Olivia for posting sultry and suggestive photos and wearing revealing outfits. She doesn’t let that bother her, however.
“There was no roadmap of how to do school, your athletics, and social media all at the same time. And I figured I could change that,” she told one interviewer. “I want to show you can do whatever you love—whether it’s gymnastics or music or painting—and capitalize on it and create your own business.” Based on the amount of money she’s making off social media brand endorsements, we think she’s doing a pretty good job.
The Dark Side of Internet Fame
Olivia’s internet fame isn’t all sunshine and roses. Some of her fans are so diehard to the point that they get rowdy when they see her in person. Olivia and her LSU teammates encountered a group of fans at a Utah meet, and things got kind of scary. The group of mostly male fans attended the Salt Lake City meet holding signs and cardboard cutouts of Olivia, screaming things like, “We want Livvy!” during other gymnasts’ routines.
The disruptive behavior of the young men disturbed some people and even prompted LSU to hire a security detail for the team during future meets. “I will always appreciate and love the support from you guys, but if you come to a meet, I want to ask you to please be respectful of the other gymnasts and the gymnastics community as we are just doing our job,” she later tweeted.
A Devilish Good Time
While Olivia is a world-famous “it girl,” she’s also just a young college student who likes to have fun. This Halloween costume made waves when she posted her sultry photoshoot on Instagram. Livvy dressed up as a dark angel and made her own costume using a black leather skirt, fishnet stockings, and a semi-sheer bustier.
Oh, and don’t forget the cute mini wings that were a perfect contrast to her golden blonde hair. Anyone who’s attended a college Halloween party can tell you this type of costume is pretty standard for girls her age, but fans still went wild. “Slay as always, boo,” commented fellow athlete Haley Cavinder.
The Best Biscuit
If Olivia’s Instagram posts tell us anything, it’s that she’s a huge animal lover. Her trusty companion, Biscuit, has been with her since day one. Her beloved golden retriever grew up alongside her as a kid and is still one of her best friends. Even as a puppy, Biscuit was always down for some fun.
This adorable throwback photo shows Biscuit and Olivia as youngsters having a blast at the beach near her hometown of Hillsdale. The look on little Olivia’s face is priceless. Biscuit is a little older and has some salt-and-pepper whiskers these days, but their bond still remains strong. There’s nothing like the love between a girl and her dog.
Childhood Memories
Since Olivia is on her A-game, it’s no surprise that she’s best friends with other top-performing gymnasts. Livvy has been friends with Olympic gold medalist Sunisa Lee since they were little kids. She posted this adorable photo of the two of them for Suni’s birthday. It’s amazing to think that the cute young ladies in this photo would grow up to be two of the most successful gymnasts of the decade.
Although the two gymnasts don’t attend the same college, they’re still close. Suni attends Auburn University and is part of the school’s prestigious gymnastics team. Funnily enough, the girls attend schools that have the same type of mascot, a tiger. Their respective teams often face off at meets, creating ample opportunities to create funny TikToks together.
A Trip to Tennessee
Nashville and Louisiana State University are only a short plane ride away. So, it’s no surprise that Olivia and her friends like to visit Athens of the South from time to time. She posted this cheeky pic of herself enjoying the nightlife on Broadway Street. As always, she looks stunning.
She wore high-waisted American Eagle shorts with a chic black tank top and a matching leather belt. In typical Nashville fashion, she topped the whole look off with a matching black cowboy hat that stood out against her platinum-blonde hair. She tagged her sister, Julz, in the photo to give fans another subtle detail about her trip.
A Day on the Courts
When the NCAA changed its policy around name, image, and likeness deals for college athletes, Olivia became one of the first to snag high-profile endorsements with major brands. Her first and longest-running brand partnership is with the upscale athleisure brand Vuori. Since her Vuori business partnership began in 2021, she’s posted super-cute outfits that show off the clothes and her figure.
This tennis-inspired getup features a cute Vuori skirt and collared tank top. Olivia is absolutely working the tennis court in this outfit because it shows off her legs, arms, and a tiny bit of her toned stomach. In classic Gen Z fashion, she topped off the look with 90s-inspired tennis shoes and a retro silver watch. One look at this photo and it’s no wonder she continues to score multi-million dollar brand contracts.
Sunkissed and Glowing
A big part of Olivia’s social media success is her beautiful yet approachable demeanor. She’s so skilled at posing in such a way that looks alluring but still cute and accessible. She wowed fans when she posted this sleek swimsuit photo taken during sunset at the beach. Olivia looks sunkissed and relaxed as she leans against an old-fashioned lifeguard tower in an all-black ensemble by Vuori Clothing.
The look and post are part of Olivia’s multi-million-dollar deal with the performance brand, but she makes it look oh-so natural. We have no idea how anyone can look that good with the sun shining directly in their face. There’s no doubt that she’s having a blast endorsing brands that she cares about and building her personal brand.
Showing Just Enough
Olivia is a young influencer who occasionally comes under fire for posting revealing photos of herself on Instagram and TikTok. Some people fear Olivia is falling into some kind of trap that many other female athletes do, but Olivia assures everyone that she’s fully in control of how she presents herself.
She’s explained that her online persona is “just about showing as much or as little as you want.” She decided to show quite a bit with this risqué photo. Olivia put on this strappy Barbie-pink swimsuit and couldn’t resist showing it off to her fans. She always knows how to show just enough to keep her followers coming back for more.
Pretty in Pink
Olivia had a lot to celebrate on her 15th birthday on October 1, 2017. She posted this adorable photo to commemorate her birthday. A young Olivia poses with a collection of giant pink balloons and a matching pink mini-dress with gold sequins.
She looks so happy in this old photo, and rightfully so. 2017 was a big year for Olivia’s gymnastics career. She participated in the City of Jesolo Trophy competition in Italy and was invited to join the US Women’s National Artistic Gymnastics Team for the first time. On top of all that, she also accepted a full scholarship to Louisiana State University a whole two years before her high school graduation. No big deal.
She’s Got the Sparkle
Olivia has famously said that the reason she wanted to do gymnastics was so she could wear beautiful, sparkly leotards. Well, all of her childhood dreams have come true because she gets to wear her LSU uniforms in all their bedazzled glory. This long-sleeve gymnastics costume is a signature look for Olivia.
She looks ready to hit the mat in this picture she took at her hotel room before a meet. The costume features a gorgeous purple ombre on the sleeves and a triangular purple and white design on the bodice that accentuates her waist. She appears to be wearing more makeup than usual, mainly because she performs at a distance from the judges and the audience. A heavier hand is necessary for it to be seen from so far away.
On the Ranch
Like most Gen Z kids, Olivia has been online for most of her life. Even back when she was just a teenager, she had quite a following on Instagram. This old photo shows a young Olivia with a group of gymnasts hanging out and having a good time. The photo is captioned, “Yesterday at the ranch…” which is cryptic but might refer to the now-defunct Karolyi Ranch in Texas.
All the girls in the photo look like athletes, so Olivia probably snapped this photo during a monthly training at “the ranch” for the women’s national artistic gymnastics team. The camp had a prestigious training program that only the best of the best could attend.
Turning Up the Heat
By the end of 2021, Olivia had blown up on TikTok, scored her first NIL deals, and grown her social media following by a few million people. All of this before her junior year of college! With her increased visibility came a new approach to her social media. Olivia started posing in more revealing outfits and suggestive poses that obviously drew a lot of attention.
The new strategy worked out for her because she’s absolutely radiant in this end-of-year beach photo. She probably melted a few hearts and made others wish for warmer temperatures. She’s posing demurely on the beach in a cute animal-print bikini. Her pose is appealing but not too revealing, which was definitely her M.O. during this phase of her social media career.
The Swimsuit Edition
Olivia may have posed for the “Sports Illustrated” swimsuit edition in 2023, but she was already practicing for her close-up a few years beforehand. She absolutely slayed in this amateur swimsuit photoshoot. She did this fun shoot with her older sister, Julz, on a Florida beach.
She definitely showed her modeling chops in this photo, both literally and figuratively. Olivia casually lounges on the beach in a daring hot pink one-piece. The artful cut-outs and zipper make the usually conservative piece of clothing look totally risqué. The whole look is cheeky, sizzling, and quite a departure from Livvy’s early, more innocent posts on Instagram.
A Laid-Back Look
Olivia has made a name for herself on and off the gymnastics mat as a fashion icon of sorts. Her laid-back but lavish style is the envy of young women everywhere. Olivia looks amazing in this 70s-inspired matching set that compliments her body perfectly. The crop top stands out because of its long bell sleeves and cute twisted bodice.
Don’t get us started on the matching bell bottoms. The high-waisted silhouette and fun knitted fabric make this a perfect outfit for Louisiana in the fall. Livvy posted this outfit with the hashtag #geauxtigers to show support for LSU, and fans went wild, so to speak. “Where is this outfit from?” one follower begged to know. “I think I’m in love,” commented another.
She’s Got Jokes
Behind all the posed photos and gymnastics titles, Olivia is actually very funny. She occasionally lets her sense of humor show on her social media. She posted this bedtime selfie with the caption, “This is 100% how I look before I go to sleep,” with an ironic smiley face tacked on at the end.
Anyone with eyes can see that Olivia is wearing a full face of makeup, a pearl necklace, and highly styled hair in this photo. There’s no way this girl is going to bed with all that makeup on, and she knows it. While some commenters didn’t get the joke, Olivia cleverly showed that she’s aware of how unrealistic social media photos can be. She’s a girl who goes to bed with no makeup on, just like the rest of us.
Hello, New York
They say that if you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere. Well, Olivia officially “made it” when she was featured on a Times Square billboard representing her school’s athletic department. The ad commemorated the NCAA’s 2021 policy change that allowed college athletes to make money off of brand deals and endorsements.
Olivia proudly poses in front of the digital billboard, which features a mock-up of her TikTok account. By the time the NCAA lifted its name, image, and likeness policy, Olivia already had almost four million followers to her name. She was ready to build her brand off this already stable foundation. “That’s the moment my life changed,” she told interviewers about the new policy.
Don’t Underestimate Livvy
As most of her fans know, Olivia is more than just a pretty face. There’s a reason she got a full-ride scholarship to Louisiana State University, people. She’s actually a very good gymnast. She competes in all-around for the LSU gymnastics team, and her specialties are floor routines and uneven bars.
The biggest achievement of her career so far is earning a 9.925 for an uneven bar routine during the 2022 season opener. That’s pretty close to the ever-elusive “perfect 10” in gymnastics. She’s also made the SEC Academic Honor Roll every year that she’s attended LSU. She’s got brains, beauty, and talent.
Winter Wonderland
Olivia grew up in New Jersey, so she’s no doubt used to the intensely cold and snowy winters. As a teenager, she loved sharing her winter fashion with her Instagram followers. This classic winter look is cute, fun, and sweet. A young Olivia wears a white knit beanie with a fuzzy pom pom along with a matching knit sweater.
She went with a monochromatic look for this photo because her outfit perfectly matched the white snow behind her. She captioned her post, “I hate being cold,” and we can’t disagree with that. She was probably glad to move to Louisiana for college since it’s much warmer there than in New Jersey.
“Dabbed Our Way Through Camp”
Olivia has been working to become a top gymnast since she was three years old. Despite her hectic work schedule, she’s always made room for fun. This photo of Livvy with her coach and fellow gymnasts is so cute and sweet. It shows Olivia, Suni Lee, Adeline Kenlin, and Alyona Shchennikova dabbing with their coach.
All of their on-point leg pops show just how professional these young gymnasts were. Their form and posture are perfect, even for a silly photo taken on the fly. This early photo just goes to show that Olivia considers many of her teammates her true friends.
A Casual Outfit Day
Olivia may be the most-followed and second-highest-paid college athlete at the moment, but she’s still a down-to-earth kind of gal. You’d never guess that Olivia makes seven figures just by looking at this photo. She’s dressed casually in Nike workout gear and brand-new sneakers. She jokingly wrote “tip-toeing in my Jordans” as the caption, even though some fans couldn’t help but point out that she was wearing Nikes.
We doubt Olivia made that mistake on purpose. If anything, it was a joke that went over some heads. Either way, this early 2021 photo was a hit and garnered over 300,000 likes on Instagram.
Her Future LSU Teammates
When Olivia moved to Louisiana to attend LSU, she wasn’t alone. Moving away and starting college is a huge chapter in anyone’s life, and thankfully, Olivia joined LSU’s gymnastics team alongside some childhood friends. This old photo of Livvy with fellow gymnasts Maddie, Elena Arenas, and Caitlin shows just how far back she goes with these girls.
All four of them got into LSU and joined the university’s artistic gymnastics team. LSU is known for its top-tier athletic programs, so it's no wonder that Livvy and her high-achieving gymnast friends got accepted. In this old photo, Elena Arenas is sporting a cast on her leg. That long-ago injury didn’t stop her from becoming one of the better-known gymnasts at LSU alongside Olivia.
“Geaux” Tigers
The Louisiana State University football team is one of the best in the country. So, it’s no surprise that Olivia likes to attend LSU’s football games to cheer the Tigers on. Olivia posted this fun and casual outfit that she wore to a home game her freshman year. She paired black jeans with a distressed jean jacket and printed spaghetti strap top.
The look is simple, sleek, and just the right amount of lavish for a casual game night. This outfit is one of many examples of Olivia’s immaculate and fun sense of style. Olivia is constantly posting photos of her outfits that serve as inspiration to college girls everywhere.
Super Dad
Olivia’s new-found fame has also brought the rest of her family into the spotlight. People often wonder what her parents think of her social media presence. They have yet to make any sort of public comment about that. But, as far as we know, her family is entirely supportive of Livvy. She seems to be especially close to her dad, who also enjoyed a successful athletic career in college.
This sweet Father’s Day post on Instagram shows how much love Olivia has for her father. “My real bar coach,” Olivia playfully captioned the throwback photo along with a winky face emoji. The photo shows Olivia as a young kid on a playground. Naturally, she’s fearlessly swinging from the monkey bars with her dad hovering behind in case she needs him. Seems like he’s been the best support system since day one.
Eyes on the Prize
Olivia is a college student who likes to have fun, but she’s also a focused competitor. This professional shot of Livvy chalking up before a routine shows her focus and determination for the sport. Chalking up is an important part of any gymnastics routine. The chalk helps reduce friction and increase grip, allowing for seamless transitions and a safer experience while practicing and performing.
Olivia loves promoting the LSU gym and is a proud Tiger. Also, this shot shows a more down-to-earth version of Olivia that fans don’t often get to see. She’s wearing only a little makeup, and her hair is up in a messy bun. She’s focused on her practice session, not her looks.
Happy Birthday, Livvy
Olivia had accumulated hundreds of thousands of followers before her 18th birthday. It’s pretty amazing to think that a young girl could have such an influence on social media, but Olivia and her family knew how to make it work. Olivia turned 18 in 2020 and celebrated, of course, by posting something on Instagram.
This cute and candid shot of Livvy smiling shows her infectious energy and bubbly personality. Always a fashion icon, she wore a simple black bodycon top and a few layered necklaces. Her glittery eyeshadow and sheer lip gloss clued in fans that she was planning on going out to celebrate that evening. Fans wished her a happy birthday in the comments, complimenting her beauty and grace.
If You’ve Got It, Flaunt It
Olivia undoubtedly works endless hours practicing and perfecting her gymnastics routines. All of those countless hours of working out pay off in more ways than one. Not only is Olivia a great athlete, but she’s also in tip-top shape. Why not show it off? She posted this bikini photo on her Instagram, and fans couldn’t get enough.
While some social media trolls criticize her for being too risque, others think it’s her right to present herself how she wants to the world. Regardless of the many opinions flying around, there’s no doubt that Olivia has made it work for her. She hasn’t shared specific numbers, but she’s definitely making seven figures. “That is something I’m proud of,” she told the New York Times.
A Sunkissed Selfie
There’s no denying that Olivia is naturally gorgeous. Even with barely any makeup on, she looks great. Olivia posted this cute selfie while waiting in her car. This photo is basically a perfect example of a summer selfie. The sun is shining directly through the windshield, perfectly accentuating her sunkissed blush and beach-blonde hair.
She looks like she just got done tanning by the pool or relaxing by the beach. She captioned the photo, “I’ll come scoop,” making her thousands of fans comment that she should come pick them up for a date. Sorry boys, but Olivia is single as far as anyone knows.
A Day at the Beach
If Olivia’s geolocations on Instagram are any clue, it’s pretty obvious that she loves spending time in Florida with her sister Julz. The two constantly go to Hutchinson Island to enjoy the beautiful beaches and summer sun that Florida is famous for. Livvy kicked off the summer of 2020 with this beach-tastic photo of her in a white swimsuit.
Olivia created a boho-chic look by tying a floral bandana around her head and accessorizing with some turquoise bracelets. The seersucker fabric of the swimsuit gives it a cute vintage vibe, which fans love. As always, we know Julz was the woman behind the camera because Olivia tagged her in the post.
Surf’s Up
Olivia is known to dabble in a few other sports besides gymnastics. This photo of herself with a surfboard on the shores of a Florida beach shows that she’s dabbling with surfing as a hobby. Her hair is wet, so we can assume that she was just out on the water. Anticipating mansplaining critiques about how calm the ocean is in her photo, she captioned it, “As you can see the waves were huge. Massive. Clearly a great day for surfing.”
Her love of surfing is more than just a photo-op, though. Olivia legitimately enjoys the sport and can ride a wave or two. Who knows? Maybe surfing will be the next chapter in her athletic career.
The Nastia Liukin Cup
Olivia and fellow gymnast Isabella Magnelli attended the 2020 Nastia Liukin Cup together with their gym, ENA Paramus. Olivia posted this adorable photo of the two of them during the big day. The competition was founded by famous Olympic gold medalist Nastia Liukin in 2010 and provides young athletes an opportunity to perform for a wider audience against elite gymnasts.
Olivia competed in balance beam, floor exercise, vault, and uneven bars. She ended up placing 11th among her senior competitors. Although Olivia didn’t rank in the top five, she still had a blast. Just look at the excited smile on her face. Gymnastics is obviously a sport she loves.
Off to Milwaukee
In order to participate in gymnastics competitions, gymnasts have to try out and qualify. Before Livvy went off the join the LSU gymnastics team, she competed in the prestigious Nastia Liukin Cup during spring 2020 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She qualified for the Cup after completing the final round of tryouts at a meet in Ohio, where she excitedly posed with her qualifying certificate.
To qualify for the Nastia Liukin Cup, Olivia performed a highly-scored balance bar routine where she completed several aerials and straight jumps. Here she is right after completing her routine, wearing the bright pink leotard that she wore out on the balance beam.
The Little Mermaid
Move over, Ariel. There’s a new “Little Mermaid” in town, and her name is Olivia Dunne. Livvy showed off her talent for costume design and fashion with this DIY Halloween costume. She dressed up as a mermaid using an iridescent green skirt, a beaded white bustier, and some fun glittery makeup.
Her loose, wavy hair was definitely giving off Ariel vibes, and she completed the look with a delicate beaded headband. Knowing her love of design, Olivia might have even added the delicate beading along the bottom of her top, too. This is a fun and easy costume that many of her female fans undoubtedly wanted to copy for Halloween the next year.
Officially a Tiger
Olivia was offered a full-ride scholarship to Louisiana State University long before she was a senior in high school. The university, known for its highly-rated “Top 10” athletic programs, offered Olivia a spot on their gymnastics team when she was only 15 years old. She verbally agreed to attend LSU in 2017 but didn’t make it official until November 2019.
She excitedly shared a photo of her signing her acceptance offer while decked out in LSU Tigers gear. “I am so excited and blessed to be signed to my dream school! Thank you to my parents and especially my coaches for making this possible,” she shared on Instagram.
Flipping the Script
Leave it to Olivia to flip the script when it comes to posing for a photo. This girl is down to bust out a gymnastics move anytime, anywhere. She got creative with a typical tourist photo while visiting Indianapolis, Indiana, by doing a handstand instead of just standing on her feet like any old average Joe.
The handstand is, of course, immaculate. We would expect no less from a gymnast. Olivia was in Indianapolis to compete in the P&G National Championships. The P&G competition marked her national championship debut, and she placed 21st on the floor and 25th in the all-around. Not bad for her first year in Indy.
Lilo & Stitch
Olivia has always loved dressing up for Halloween. Maybe it’s because her birthday is in October, maybe it’s because she loves showmanship. Whatever the reason, it’s awesome. Back when she was just a kid, Olivia dressed up with gymnast Morgan Hurd as Lilo and Stitch from the fan-favorite Disney movie.
A young Olivia, dressed up as Lilo, gives Morgan-slash-Stitch a piggyback ride in this sweet photo. The two attended a training camp together in Texas that year and quickly became fast friends. Morgan went on to join the gymnastics team at the University of Florida. Although LSU and Florida are harsh rivals, the girls still have a camaraderie.
Best of Both Worlds
Olivia is barely entering her 20s, but she’s already gotten the opportunity to travel the country because of her gymnastics career. On top of attending gymnastics meets in Indiana, Wisconsin, and Florida, Livvy has also gotten to visit sunny southern California. The bright sun and palm trees suit her because she’s glowing in this photo.
She’s living her best life in this infinity pool, which she tagged in Malibu. She wrote, “Yes. The ‘Hannah Montana’ season finale was filmed here.” In case anyone was wondering. From small-town New Jersey to the cloudless skies of Los Angeles, Livvy really is getting the best of both worlds.
Lights, Camera, Action
Before Olivia started signing lucrative NIL deals in 2021, she was steadily growing her fanbase on Instagram. She even had a few smaller brand deals with gymnastics-adjacent brands. She posed in a sleek black leotard by gymnastics brand Sylvia P back in 2019. The leotard is sleek and classic, made with metallic black fabric and a sheer crystal-studded open back.
Olivia, seated in a director’s chair, looks ready for her close-up with a smokey eye and nude lip. She infuses her signature “girl next door” appeal with a cute French braid hair-do. Even though this Sylvia P partnership was a few years before her big brand deals, you can tell that she’s always had a natural talent for posing and modeling.
A Casual Fashion Moment
Olivia is so lovable because of her style and down-to-earth approach to social media. This outfit is quintessentially Livvy, infusing modern trends with a laid-back vibe. She’s wearing a cute white crop top that is inspired by the ruched style that was so popular back in the 90s. Her high-waisted jeans and aviators bring a classic air to the whole look so people know she’s not just a trend follower.
The tiny Louis Vuitton handbag and retro pink scrunchie make the whole look top-notch. The best thing is that this outfit is so accessible and easy to replicate. Olivia might be a millionaire athlete, but she’s also just a girl who loves putting together killer outfits that look effortless and chic.
The Best Support System
Olivia has had an online presence since she was very young. As an aspiring gymnast, she would often post updates about training camps and competitions. As she got older, she started posting more influencer-related content with her outfits, flawless makeup, and killer model poses. In this photo, a young and fresh-faced Olivia soaks in the late afternoon sun in her backyard while wearing a laid-back white tank and ripped jeans.
Even posting a photo as innocent as this brings about negative comments and trolls. When asked how she deals with unsolicited hate, she’s told other female influencers that “it's literally someone behind a phone screen.” She chooses to ignore the hate because “there is no deep thought or meaning behind it. At least that's how I feel.”
A Day in the Gardens
While she’s usually sporting a gymnastics leotard or relaxed athleisure gear, there are times when Olivia feels like getting dressed up. She hit the gardens in this cute white-and-red floral dress and platform sandals. She looks ready for a classy garden party or a lunch date at the tea house.
The look gives modern “Bridgerton” vibes and shows Olivia’s versatile fashion sense. The look is simple, elegant, and oh-so chic. Despite her love of getting dressed up, her favorite outfit remains her gymnastics leotard. Once she joined the LSU Tigers, she posted a TikTok video of herself wearing her uniform before a meet and captioned it, “fave fit.”
Sunset at the Beach
One of the things Olivia chooses to share with fans is her love of the ocean. She’s constantly going to the beach in Hutchinson Island, Florida, with her sister to snap photos and hang out by the water. Livvy often gets much attention on TikTok and Instagram for her daring “beach-nastics” videos.
During her downtime, she likes to let loose and perform daring backflips on the beach. She’ll often do these gymnastics moves off the edge of jagged rocks or right by the waves. It’s become one of her signature forms of content that fans look forward to every summer. Obviously, Olivia is a trained professional. No one should try to copy her “beach-nastic” moves for safety reasons. Instead, they can applaud her skills from the sidelines.
Setting the Bar
Olivia is making a name for herself when it comes to uneven bar routines. Even though she’s had to sit several meets out during the course of her college career due to injuries, she still shines when she gets the chance.
This photo shows Olivia right after she stuck a landing during the NCAA gymnastics meet in 2023. The genuine look of joy on her face reveals just how much she loves gymnastics. Sure, she might enjoy the money and perks that come with being a celebrity gymnast, but a true passion for the sport lies underneath the glitz and glam.
A Girl and Her Dog
Olivia is known by her fans as an avid animal lover. She has a particular fondness for dogs because she’s constantly posting photos of her beloved puppy and her older family dog, a golden retriever named Biscuit. She posted this adorable winter portrait with her new puppy, and fans went wild.
The puppy’s eyes are bright blue, which makes them even more adorable. Also, who can resist those oversized puppy paws? Olivia sure can’t because she looks totally smitten in this photo. Because she’s a student at LSU, her beloved dogs probably still live at home with her parents. Whenever she goes back home, they’re probably thrilled to see each other.
A Cozy Winter Look
Olivia has always been very vocal about her love of fashion and beauty. Even as a high schooler, she was into creating perfectly coordinated outfits. Naturally, she often shares her outfits with her Instagram fans. This winter look from 2017 shows the early stages of Livvy’s fashion evolution. She’s bundled up in a white beanie, sweater, and a Coach-inspired scarf.
When you look closer, you can see just how much thought went into this outfit. Her bright pink gloves perfectly match the pink quilting on the side of her winter boots. This photo also gives a glimpse into her future career as a huge influencer. She’s posed like a true supermodel and knows how to show off the best parts of her outfit like a pro.
An Ill-Timed Injury
Even though Olivia is in her early 20s, she has experienced a few setbacks in her gymnastics career. In 2018, she injured her ankle. This injury prevented her from competing in all the events at the US Classic that year. She persevered, however, and decided to compete in uneven bars.
The ankle injury was ill-timed because 2018 was the year Olivia made her senior debut. After the US Classic, she petitioned to compete in the National Championships and placed 18th in the all-around. She decided to opt out of competing in 2019 to fully recover. It wasn’t exactly what she had envisioned for her senior debut, but she knew that taking care of her injuries was more important than pushing herself and causing further injury.
A Future Model in the Making
Olivia has always loved posing for photos while relaxing at the beach. This high-school-era photo shows her soaking up the sun while spending time in the Hamptons. The young Livvy in this photo probably had no idea that one of her dreams would come true within a few years. She was invited to pose for the famous “Sports Illustrated” swimsuit edition and all of her years of practicing her poses paid off.
“As soon as I got off the phone, I was jumping up and down,” Olivia told Sports Illustrated in her interview that accompanied the photos. “I called my mom, even though you’re not supposed to tell anyone right away. I had to tell my mom.”
A Unique Role Model
Olivia might have model-worthy looks, but she’s also looking to be a model of another kind. As one of the highest-earning college athletes of the moment, Olivia sees herself as a role model for younger female athletes. She acknowledges that she’s the first generation of young athletes to profit off of brand deals and sponsorships thanks to the NCAA’s name, image, and likeness policy that went into effect in 2021.
She knows that she’s forging a new path in uncharted territory and wants to show other young women that they can do it, too. “There's really no one that's ever done it. And I figured I could change that. I could pave the way and be a good example to young girls that look up to me.”
A More Mature Livvy
As Livvy has basically grown up online, fans have seen the transformation and growth of her personal fashion sense. All throughout high school and college, she’s shown the world her transformation from a cute little girl in sparkly leotards to a mature businesswoman and professional gymnast. She’s certainly giving boss lady vibes in this business casual ‘fit.
She snapped this selfie that perfectly shows off her outfit of the day. An off-the-shoulder black long-sleeve top is tucked into high-waisted flared jeans, giving fabulous retro 90s energy. Her black boots and quilted bag tie the whole look together, making her ready for a board meeting or a classy dinner with friends.
Just a Small-Town Girl
Olivia was born in Westwood, New Jersey, but spent her childhood growing up in the next town over, Hillsdale. Because she started practicing gymnastics seriously at the early age of three, her childhood was anything but ordinary. She joined ENA Paramus Gym and trained under Craig and Jennifer Zappa.
Her training schedule was so rigorous that her parents eventually decided to homeschool her so she could have a more flexible schedule. Sometimes her training schedule would make her feel lonely and isolated from her friends. “I feel like I'm missing out,” she told the Daily Voice in 2016. But even as a teen, she realized how lucky she was. “I try to cherish every moment,” she reflected later in the interview.
Prom 2018
Prom is a huge milestone for many high schoolers, and Olivia was no different. She and her friends celebrated their 2018 prom in style. Ever the fashionista, Olivia wore a backless light pink prom dress, and her date wore a matching bowtie.
The mini dress is absolutely stunning with its halter neckline and all-around white beading. The dress totally fits Olivia’s style because it looks like an elevated, high-fashion gymnastics leotard. She’s also defying gravity in those killer white heels. That’s not an easy feat for anyone, much less a high schooler. She deserves some major props for wearing those all night and surviving.
Beautiful, Inside and Out
Olivia might be a record-breaking top gymnast, but part of her appeal is how gosh darn relatable she is. She’s not afraid to show her flaws and blunders, especially when it comes to her gymnastics career. Unlike the beautiful selfies and portraits she posts, her gymnastics-related content on social media isn’t all polished and perfect.
She’s posted blooper videos and photos of her falling and crashing on uneven bars and balance beams. Her candidness and authenticity endear her to her fans because she seems like a genuinely nice person who isn’t afraid to be goofy. On top of it all, she sets healthy boundaries in her gymnastics career and takes time to fully heal from injuries before heading back on the mat.
Sweet 16
Most girls dream of having the ultimate “Sweet 16” birthday bash with tons of guests in attendance. Olivia got to live out that dream, at least virtually. By the time she turned sixteen, she had hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram. She posted this fun photo of herself posing with golden “16” balloons.
She’s dressed to the nines in a glittery dark blue dress and a glittery scrunchie in her high ponytail. It’s no wonder so many teen girls looked up to her back in her high school days. She pulls off her outfits and makeup with beauty and grace. It would only be a few years before 16-year-old Livvy would turn into a multi-million-dollar influencer.
The Bonds of Sisterhood
Since the early days of Livvy’s Instagram, she’s always tagged her older sister, Julz, in most of her photos. The two have a close bond. Also, Julz often takes the stunning photos that Livvy posts on her feed. Livvy gushes about her sister any chance she gets. “Having my sister, she's like my hype man, my teammate.” she gushed about her older sister.
Julz embraces her role as hype man. She even calls herself the “forgotten sibling” and runs a TikTok account where she posts relatable content with Livvy and calls herself Julz “Livvy’s Sister” Dunne. She’s been there since the very beginning, snapping beach pics and guiding Olivia about how to pose, what to post, and how to ignore internet trolls.
Portrait of a Girl
Part of Olivia’s success is that she’s a naturally stunning and beautiful young woman. This simple portrait of a young Olivia is simple yet arresting. She’s always been a natural model and knows how to convey so much emotion through her eyes. She’s seated with her hair down and wearing natural-looking makeup, and there’s something about this photo that makes her look vulnerable.
It’s a rare peak behind the mask of perfection that so many people see when they look at Olivia’s pictures. “The refusal of some to appreciate Livvy for being more than just a pretty blonde is missing the point,” said Sports Illustrated editor MJ Day many years after this photo was taken. They’re not wrong. It’s important to give Olivia credit where credit is due. She’s gorgeous, but she’s also a talented businesswoman and accomplished athlete.
The Future is Bright
It’s every young athlete’s dream to get a full-ride college scholarship. All of Olivia’s hard work paid off when Louisiana State University offered a full-ride athletic scholarship to join their prestigious gymnastics team. LSU’s gymnastics team is one of the best in the country, so accepting the offer was a no-brainer for Livvy and her family.
LSU is also where Olivia’s older sister Julz attended college so that probably played into her decision to attend. You can see the excitement on Olivia’s face as she visits the LSU gymnastics gym in early 2019 before her freshman year of college. She officially became a Tiger when she joined the class of 2024. Geaux Tigers!
A Cali Girl at Heart
Olivia may have been born and raised in New Jersey, but she can fit in anywhere. She took a trip to Los Angeles, California, in the summer of 2019 and took to the surf and sun pretty quickly. She was enjoying her time by the beach in Malibu when she spotted this tricked-out Jeep and simply had to snap a photo.
“Brand new whip got no keys,” she shared with her Instagram followers. She looks like a natural Cali girl with her beach blonde hair, perfect tan, and cute swimsuit. She topped the whole look off with a Puka shell necklace and no makeup. So many of her followers asked where she got the cute gingham bikini from, but she kept mum about it. A fashion icon can’t reveal her secrets.
In-N-Out and FILA
Olivia’s style is absolutely iconic wherever she goes. Whenever she visits southern California, she brings out her best summer outfits. She accessorized a simple blue tank and denim shorts with brand-new FILA sneakers. Everyone knows that the shoes are the centerpiece of any outfit, so Livvy made sure to emphasize her kicks in the photo.
She also showcased her designer backpack, but the last accessory was perhaps the most important. She’s casually sipping on a soft drink from In-N-Out. Talk about a flex. Not only is she soaking in the summer sun of California, but she’s also enjoying one of the best restaurants in the state. We wouldn’t be surprised if her fans got major FOMO.
A California Classic
Glowing Brighter than the NYC Skyline
Olivia braved the cold East Coast air of November to capture this awesome outfit in all its glory. She’s all glamor as she poses on a balcony with the New York City skyline shining behind her. Her contouring, blush, and eyeshadow are absolutely glowing in this pic. Who knew someone could look so good with the flash on?
Livvy’s style is understated but sleek. For this look, she paired high-waisted skinny jeans with a black t-shirt. This isn’t just any plain old shirt, though. The top is semi-sheer, elevating the whole look. What’s more, she got creative and tied it up to create a crop top. She wore a matching bra and layered gold necklaces to complete the outfit.
A Natural Mermaid
For whatever reason, many people think that being an outfit repeater is a major fashion faux pas. Olivia’s here to change that preconceived notion. She wore one of her favorite swimsuits two years in a row and showcased the suit while swimming in the ocean with her sister. The pink-and-white gingham suit was instantly recognizable to her Instagram fans because she had worn it the summer before while vacationing in California.
As always, Livvy pulled off her beach look flawlessly. This time around, she featured the swimsuit in action with a sleek photo of her emerging from the clear water off of a Hutchinson Island beach. If her fans didn’t know any better, they’d probably think she was a literal mermaid.
A True Sports Lover
Gymnastics isn’t the only sport Olivia loves to play. On top of surfing and swimming, she loves to play golf from time to time. Olivia is bringing her A-game to the putting green in this simple but chic outfit. She loaded up the golf cart and hit the course in an all-white two-piece matching set.
She looks absolutely radiant, and this look definitely hits the ball out of the park. We’re mixing up our sports metaphors, but you get the idea. Olivia joked in her caption by saying, “Gymnast by day, Tiger Woods by night.” He better watch out because this LSU Tiger might be coming to beat his high scores.
Heating Up for Winter
One of Olivia’s most-liked photos on Instagram is this cute winter outfit she wore in Park City, Utah. The all-black ensemble earned over one million likes, a big success for both Livvy and the clothing brand. She’s braving the cold in a black beanie, leggings, a fleece jacket, and a crop top. Although outfit photos like this have given Olivia much success, one scroll through her social media comments shows plenty of chauvinist backlash over her good looks and risque poses.
Fellow gymnasts like gold medalist Nastia Liukin have come to her defense, however. Liukin wrote an opinion piece stating that Olivia has every right to express her interest in fashion and beauty. “We deserve to be able to express that without being attacked for it. It should not discount or discredit our status as a serious businesswoman or an elite athlete.”
