Though she isn’t a household name in tennis just yet, Sloane Stephens is on her way to becoming one of tennis’s greatest. The American professional tennis player is currently ranked World No. 33 by the Women’s Tennis Association.
In 2013, when she was no older than 19, she shocked viewers when she defeated the famous Serena Williams. Fun fact — growing up, Stephens looked up to Serena and her sister Venus, and even had a poster of hers in her bedroom! Though she’s had some struggles on the court, she still has a long career ahead of her and plenty of time to shine.
Brooke Mayo
Brooke Mayo made her professional MMA debut back in 2017 at Bellator 172, though this wasn't her initial foray into professional sport. Mayo did not start her career as a fighter — she was a Division-I soccer player. She loved running on the field and was one of the fastest on her team.
That's when she was diagnosed with chronic exertional compartment syndrome, an exercise-induced disease that produces pain and swelling in muscles in the arms and legs. Though she didn't expect her life to take such a drastic turn, she's happy she overcame her obstacles and found the MMA.
Barbie Blank
Barbie Blank, better known as Kelly Kelly, is a famous professional wrestler who is married to bodybuilder Joe Coba (pictured here next to her). Barbie is a WAG who is simultaneously more famous and more financially successful than her partner, and we love to see it. In fact, Barbie was a cast member of the reality show “WAGS” when she was married to hockey player Sheldon Souray.
But that’s neither here nor there. Barbie enjoys great financial success as a professional wrestler. She’s estimated to have a net worth of $3-5 million, which is a lot more than Joe’s projected $2 million. Barbie’s pretty ambitious, so we can’t wait to see what she does next.
Darya Klishina
Russian long jumper Darya Klishina has won many European Championships over the years and took part in the 2016 Olympic games. Interestingly enough, long jumping wasn't here thing right from the get-go. Instead, her interest in sports started at age eight when she began playing volleyball. Influenced by her athlete father, at age 13, she changed her preference for athletics to long jump.
In 2017, she competed as an authorized neutral athlete at the 2017 World Championship in Athletics. The mother of two (just casually dropping that fact on you) won silver with a season-best of 7.00 meters, finishing only two centimeters behind Brittney Reese.
Rachel Daly
Rachel Daly is an English soccer player who plays for West Ham United and the English national team. She is sponsored by Under Armor and Adidas and is seen wearing tons of Adidas gear on her Instagram. Daly was selected by Houston Dash as the sixth overall pick of the 2016 College Draft.
She was voted Player of the Week for the first week of the season after she scored a goal and helped Dash's win against the Chicago Red Stars. With those cheekbones and her baby blues, if this woman ever decides to retire from soccer, she can definitely get a second career as a model.
