Margot Robbie went all in when she was cast as the lead in “I, Tonya.” She wanted audiences to believe she was the two-time Olympian and two-time Skate American champion, so she dove head first and began training 4 hours a day, five days a week learning how to ice skate.
This went on for five months, but after that, Margot was in triple axle shape. She convinced us that she was Tonya Harding, and it shows how dedicated she is to her craft.
Natalie Portman Bulked Up for “Thor: Love and Thunder”
Most people focus on Chris Hemsworth’s arms when Thor is around, but in “Thor: Love and Thunder” Natalie Portman’s guns stole the show. Her arms were noticeably bigger this time around and it took her ten months to add on that muscle.
Her workouts consisted of boxing, weightlifting, jump rope, and crunches, and had to switch her typically vegan diet around to include more protein for the bulk. Sadly, the two co-stars did not work out together. They only shared some gym banter while preparing for filming.
Halle Berry Punched Up for Her Role in “Bruised”
Halle Berry is no stranger to getting in shape for her roles; she did play Catwoman before. But this transformation goes above and beyond that. For her recent role in the MMA movie, “Bruised” Halle got into the best shape of her life.
As seen in her 6-pack abs she posted on Instagram, Halle Berry looked great and her followers agree. She trained 4 hours a day with her trainer and was doing high-intensity MMA-style workouts, plyometrics, and boxing which all helped her prepare for the role.
Kate Bosworth Hung Ten to Get Fit for “Blue Crush”
Kate Bosworth did everything she could to get in shape for her role as a professional surfer in “Blue Crush” and literally trained as a professional surfer. She claims that they were the most intense physical experience she has ever gone through and spent up to 7 hours a day training for the role.
That included 4 hours of surfing, an hour of weight training, and an hour of running underwater with a rock. The results speak for themselves and she killed it on screen as a surfer.
Jennifer Lopez Hustled for Her “Hustlers” Body
Pole dancing is a very intensive art form. Just ask any person who does calisthenics how tough it is for them to do a human flag, and now imagine doing that while the pole is spinning— no easy task. Yet, Jennifer Lopez was up for the challenge when she began getting fit for her role in “Hustlers.”
Despite working under the guidance of Johanna Sapakie, a choreographer and pole instructor, JLo was still left with bruises on her arms and legs from training. It was worth it in the end because she did convince us she knew what she was doing in the film.
