You would know what we’re talking about if you’ve read our previous article about celebrity grandparents and their nearly-doppelganger grandkids. Just in case you need any further proof of how well Hollywood genes survive, we are here with another collection of celebrity grandmas and grandpas who passed their desirable genes onward.
Julian Thicke: Grandson of Alan Thicke
Alan Thicke is a Canadian actor best known for portraying Dr. Jason Seaver on the 80s sitcom "Growing Pains." In 2013, he was awarded a spot on Canada's Walk of Fame. His son, Robin Thicke, didn't exactly take his father's acting talent, but he did garner a successful music career for himself. He has collaborated with numerous big names from the music industry, including Nicki Minaj, Usher, and Pharrell Williams, to name a few.
His son is still young, but it's pretty clear that Julian looks more like his grandfather than his father. We will have to wait and see if he follows in the footsteps of his father's music career or his grandfather's acting career. Either way, he has been blessed with a famous family name, so it would be easy for him to enter into either one.
Raphael De Niro: Grandson of Robert De Niro Sr.
Robert De Niro Sr. was an expressionist abstract painter. He was quite prolific in the art scene, and today, a short documentary about him was created by his son Robert De Niro Jr: "Remembering the Artist According to De Niro Jr." Robert also took a creative career path, except he opted for acting, and due to his talents he managed to forge a big name for himself in the industry. Besides numerous awards in the world of acting, he also earned himself a Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016 from President Barack Obama.
His most notable flick has probably got to be "The Godfather" and most recently "The Irishman." His son Raphael De Niro has not followed the career paths of his predecessor father or grandfather since he took a career in high-end real estate, but we can say that he did gain his grandfather's features.
Giada De Laurentiis: Granddaughter of Dino De Laurentiis
The Oscar-winning Dino De Laurentiis ran away from home at the age of 17 to enroll himself in film school. He supported himself by taking odd jobs in the movie industry, including acting as a propman, an extra, and at times, an actor. John Drew Barrymore and his daughter Drew Barrymore all reign from the Barrymore family, which is kind of like a British-American acting dynasty that traces its roots to the mid-1800s in London. John made his acting debut at just 17, despite his mother trying to dissuade him from the career path by sending him to the military academy. Obviously, her efforts didn't work, as he went ahead and followed an acting career and made quite a name for himself and his descendants. Today, he has over 40 acting credits to his name.
His daughter, Drew Barrymore, has also followed in his acting footsteps, and his granddaughter, Frankie Barrymore Kopelman, is still pretty young and hasn't entered the acting scene yet, but with a name like that, what else is there to expect? Frankie did, however, earn her grandfather's blonde hair, and let's see if she follows the acting succession.
Brooke Shields: Granddaughter of Francis Xavier Shields
Due to the debonair good looks that Francis Xavier Shields carried, he managed to land himself a few minor Hollywood roles. However, he started out as an amateur tennis player in the 1920s, and by the age of 22, he was ranked as the second-best tennis player in the world. His second marriage to American heiress Marina Torlonia di Civitella-Cesi produced two children, Francis Xavier Alexander, Jr. and Christina Shields.
Brooke Shields, the granddaughter of Francis Xavier Shields, started acting at the age of 11 months and later gained notoriety for her role in "Pretty Baby," in which she starred at the age of 11 years. She not only got her grandfather's talent for acting, but she also got the bloodline's refined looks. It's easy to see why she has landed on countless "Most Beautiful Actresses" lists, and that's thanks to her grandpappy’s good genes.
India Eisley: Granddaughter of Anthony Eisley
Anthony Eisley was an actor best known for his role as the detective Tracy Stelle in "Hawaiian Eye." The series was set in tropical Honolulu and ran for four seasons from 1959 to 1962. Besides this famed series, Eisley was also part of the cast of the crime drama "The Naked Kiss," which aired in 1964. He made quite a name for himself with over 100 acting credits to his name.
His granddaughter India Eisley not only got his bloodline's acting talents, but apparently, she also got his looks. As you can see, they have almost identical noses and smiles. Like Francis, his granddaughter Gia Coppola is also pursuing a career in directing and screenwriting, but so far, she still has a long way to go. Samantha Brooks: Granddaughter of Mel Brooks

These are quite the footsteps to follow, but his granddaughter Samantha Brooks has already entered the acting scene before even reaching 20 years old. Ingrid Bergman was a stunning actress of Swedish descent. She is best known for her role as Ilsa Lund in "Casablanca," and due to her contributions to the industry, she was ranked the fourth greatest star of American cinema by the American Film Institute. This accolade probably came from her three Oscar wins, two Emmy awards, and a Tony Award. Let's not forget her Hollywood Walk of Fame star that she was awarded in 1960.
It's certainly not easy to follow in footsteps such as those, but luckily, her granddaughter Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann opted for a career in writing and modeling.
