As you probably know, some of these women have become even bigger celebrities than their field-running partners. We’ve written all about this in our previous article about the women of the NFL and you couldn’t stop saying how badly you wanted more. Well, we are here to oblige. Christian McCaffrey & Olivia Culpo
After a rocky and ultimately disappointing relationship with quarterback Danny Amendola, model Olivia Culpo moved on with Carolina Panthers Running Back Christian McCaffrey.
At this point, at least, the model has graced many more public platforms than McCaffrey, but he certainly doesn’t seem to mind. Judging by the look on his face in this photo, he looks proud to be next to her. Culpo first came into the public eye after winning a number of beauty pageants and amassing a social media following.
Glenn Cadrez & Brande Roderick
NFL linebacker Glenn Cadrez played for eleven teams over the course of his career. He was married to Playboy model Brande Roderick for ten years. Brande was probably seen on far more magazine covers than her husband at the time.
The couple’s relationship didn’t begin in a good situation as Cadrez was already married at the time. He divorced his first wife to be with Roderick, but the two eventually called it quits in 2017 after ten years of marriage.
Reggie Bush & Lilit Avagyan
The former NFL running back Reggie Bush was formerly connected to Kim Kardashian, but he eventually settled down with Lilit Avagyan. Fans noted how similar Avagyan was to Bush’s ex in her looks and that the two both have an Armenian background.
Similarities aside, Lilit is an accomplished dancer and even made a guest appearance on “Dancing with the Stars.” These days she enjoys showcasing her and Bush’s relationship, working out, promoting her sister’s fitness business, and being a mom to her three kids.
Josh Allen & Brittany Williams
Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, was in a relationship with Brittany Williams for many years. The former college cheerleader is a pilates instructor and was very supportive of Allen both on and off of the field until their eventual breakup.
The duo loved to travel together and had been seen at other sporting events. Although Williams may not be a big star, she seemed to make a name for herself just by being the loving, supportive partner that she already is to Allen. But alas, they are no longer together, and Allen is now with Hailee Steinfeld.
Colin Kaepernick & Nessa Diab
Quarterback Colin Kaepernick is an iconic NFL star, but mostly for his controversial political beliefs. Nessa Diab is a well-known radio personality and also a passionate activist. While there is no ring yet, with their long-standing relationship, wedding bells are not too far off.
Diab will also be well-recognized from her time hosting MTV’s "GirlCode." She has thousands of Instagram followers and has even been a DJ. The busy pair have been together since 2015 and must share some pretty strong, common bonds. Always an activist, Diab reportedly fired back at the NFL for listing Kaepernick as “retired” instead of the free agent that he actually is.
Odell Beckham Jr. & Lauren Wood
Odell Beckham Jr. and Lauren Wood started dating back in 2019. Wood seems to have a thing for athletes (and sons of star athletes), having been previously connected to Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Lauren Wood is well-known in her own right as a fitness trainer with her 1.5 million Instagram followers. Beckham occasionally made an appearance on her feed, and theirs was also a classic social media love story of direct messages that turned into a first date. However, the two have since gone their separate ways.
Jason Sehorn & Angie Harmon
Many will easily recognize actress Angie Harmon from her roles in numerous films and TV shows throughout the years, and few may remember that she was married to NFL cornerback Jason Sehorn.
Sehorn is now retired, and though Harmon herself is not very active in Hollywood, you can still easily find her face on TV show reruns. As for their marriage, the pair sadly split 13 years and three kids later. Harmon has since moved on with actor Greg Vaughn, and Sehorn is now with Meghann Gunderman.
Tim Tebow & Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters
Known for his conservative values and upbeat personality, Tim Tebow has been a recognized athlete for a while now. After dating a few women, Tebow finally chose a South African beauty queen, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.
Nel-Peters was born in Sedgefield, South Africa, was crowned Miss Universe in 2017, and currently has 1.6 million Instagram followers. The pair started dating in 2017 and bonded over their shared values. Tebow and Nel-Peters married in early 2020 in South Africa, and it appears to have been blissful ever since.
J.J. Watt & Kealia Ohai
J.J. Watt and Kealia Ohai are an athletic match made in heaven. The defensive end and the soccer star started dating in 2016 and married in 2020. Ohai was a part of the winning team for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in 2012.
The pair are very supportive of one another, and Watt especially made his support for his now-wife known when she was referred to as “J.J. Watt’s fiance.” Watt spoke out against the article that referred to Ohai as just his fiance, reminding the public that she herself is a successful athlete.
Travis Kelce & Kayla Nicole
Travis Kelce and Kayla Nicole have had a spotty relationship, going through breakups and makeups. The tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and Nicole met through Instagram.
The model and host must have caught the attention of Kelce, who decided to slide into her DMs. The two began dating in 2017 but have had their share of rough patches. The two split for a number of months before reuniting in early 2021. But eventually, that split became permanent.
Sterling Shephard & Chanel Iman
Model Chanel Iman is one NFL ex-wife who greatly outshines her wide receiver ex-husband, Sterling Shephard. Iman has modeled since a very young age and has been a familiar face for major brands like Versace, Tom Ford, Gucci, and even Victoria’s Secret, to name a few.
Shephard and Iman were engaged in 2017, married in 2018, and have since shared two daughters together. The top model may outshine her NFL player, but the couple looked like they were in a blissfully supportive relationship. However, in 2022, they announced they were getting divorced.
Jeff Garcia & Carmella DeCesare
Jeff Garcia had a roller coaster of an NFL career, but one woman was by his side, Carmella DeCesare. Carmella DeCesare was a Playboy Playmate, Sports Illustrated model, and a former contestant on WWE’s Diva Search.
DeCesare has been on many magazine covers throughout the years and is most noted for winning the Playboy Playmate of the year award in 2005. Garcia and DeCesare married in 2007, share four children together, and are known for their charity work with the Pass It On Foundation. However, they revealed that they were divorced as of 2020.
Mike Caussin & Jana Kramer
Jana Kramer starred on the soap “One Tree Hill” and went on to marry Mike Caussin (the tight end for the Washington Red Skins) in 2015. Between the two, most may recognize Kramer’s face from her multiple television roles over Caussin's.
While the pair struggled initially with infertility, they were ultimately still able to have two children together. But this couple’s love story came to a very sad end due to Caussin’s infidelity. Kramer and Caussin have since got divorced, but Jana is pressing on and making a whole new life for herself.
Kroy Bierman & Kim Zolciak
Kim Zolciak quickly became a household name from her casting on Bravo’s "Real Housewives of Atlanta." Zolciak was known for her extra bold personality and equally bold style. She eventually settled down with former defensive end and linebacker Kroy Bierman.
Kroy adopted Kim’s two daughters from her previous relationships, and the couple went on to have four kids of their own! They have been married since 2011 and appear to still be very supportive of one another and still very much in love.
Jeremy Stevens & Hope Solo
Soccer star Hope Solo gained major acclaim for her combination of exceptional athleticism on the field and flexibility within different soccer leagues. She even went to the FIFA Women’s World Cup and Olympic games for multiple years.
In 2012 she married NFL tight end, Jerramy Stevens. Despite them both being athletes, Solo is probably the better recognized of the two. Before their marriage, Stevens was suspected of some controversial acts against Solo, but the marriage went through, and the pair have been together ever since.
Hank Baskett & Kendra Wilkinson
When former Eagles wide receiver Hank Baskett met Kendra Wilkinson, she was living in the Playboy Mansion as one of Hugh Hefner’s three extra-special Playboy models. Appropriately, the marriage was held at the mansion when she wedded out of it. Her brother gave her away to hubby Baskett in 2009. At the time, Baskett was on board with the Philadelphia Eagles, but he also caught yard for the Vikings and the Colts. He made Eagles special teams MVP in 2007.
Unfortunately, with the birth of their first child, Baskett’s NFL career was closing in on him while Wilkinson was dealing with postpartum depression. Their life was a mess, but at least the glamour model’s reality show "Kendra" paid the bills as it documented the couple’s drama, which included an act of infidelity set squarely on Baskett's shoulders. Alas, the demise. The marriage succumbed to divorce by the end of 2018.
Osi Umenyiora & Leila Lopes
Osi Umenyiora is a British-born NFL player who rakes in $250,000, signing autographs for one hour. During his long run with the NY Giants, he won two Super Bowls, one in 2007 and another in 2011. Both wins overcame the formidable Patriots franchise.
Wife Leila Lopes has been just as much of a celebrity. She’s a model, TV host, and Miss Universe 2011 beauty queen. As Miss Angola 2010, she represented the British Angolan community. She was born in Angola and is heavily involved with HIV/AIDS awareness. She married Umenyiora in 2015. Together they launched a record label. Uprise Music “unifies Africa, England, Brazil, and America,” Umenyiora told the Telegraph.
Saquon Barkley & Anna Congdon
Saquon Barkley scored Rookie of the Year his first season with the NY Giants, devouring over 2,000 yards. The NFL team made a good decision bringing him onto the roster as their second overall pick in the 2018 draft. According to Forbes, he secured a $31.2 million contract and pulls in another $4.5 million in endorsements.
The former Penn State superstar met his rife Anna Congdon at the university. The couple started dating in 2017 and welcomed a baby daughter the next year.
Aaron Ross & Sanya Richards-Ross
Cornerback Aaron Ross is a two-time Super Bowl winner with the NY Giants, the team that snagged him in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He also landed on the rosters of the Jaguars, Ravens, and Browns. He sprints the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds, but that’s nothing compared with his wife, four-time Olympic Gold Medalist track and field athlete Sanya Richards.
The Jamaican-born Olympian ran the 4x400 meters relay at 2004, 2008, and 2012 Summer Olympics. People also know her for Glam and Gold. The reality show following the busy entrepreneur’s hectic daily schedules and routines premiered in 2013. She co-owns two companies, plus a nonprofit. Today she is the proud mother of son “AJ.” The question on everyone’s mind is: track and field or football?
Eric Johnson & Jessica Simpson
Country-pop star and fashion magnate Jessica Simpson is happily married with three children. If you’re asking, “Who is Jessica Simpson married to?” You are not alone. Most people will recall her performance at Super Bowl XXXVIII before they can say which NFL team hubby Eric Johnson signed with.
So, here it is: Johnson played for the San Francisco 49ers six of his seven seasons with the league. Out of Yale, he was picked No. 7 in the 2001 draft. His career net worth of $10 million seems pretty solid, that is until you compare it with his superstar wife. Jessica Simpson has raked in a net worth of $200 million. Meanwhile, success remains sweet as the chart-topping artist continues to record music and design clothing for her trendy label.
Patrick Mahomes & Brittany Matthews
This adorable couple hooked up in high school. As childhood sweethearts, one thing they share is extraordinary athleticism. Brittany Matthews played professional soccer for an Iceland team. In her first year, the team won the league championship. Patrick Mahomes, for his part, had a stellar start with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2018. He scored 50 touchdowns and ran 6,000 yards in his first year. That season he earned the NFL MVP award.
Meanwhile, Matthews launched Brittany Lynne Fitness, a celebrity fitness website offering specialized training programs.
Donald Penn & Dominique Penn
After an injury and well over a decade with the league, offensive tackle Donald Penn’s career may be trickling out with a one-year contract with the Washington Redskins. But he’s had an astounding career guarding quarterbacks for the Vikings, the Buccaneers, and the Raiders. In a rare move, he signed to the NFL as a free agent when the Minnesota Vikings brought him on in 2006.
Dominique Penn came into his life after they married in 2012. They have three children together. As a proud NFL wife, she starred in WAGS LA until E! canceled the show. At the end of it, she said, “It was a great experience for me because it came right on time, but I don’t think it really showed who I was.” She pointed out that she has her own business, and she’s into women empowerment, and those parts were left out.
Golden Tate & Elise Tate
New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate proposed to Elise on September 12, 2015, back in the days when he was scoring touchdowns for the Lions. His story of secretly surprising her with the perfect ring is worth sharing. He told The Knot, “I flew Chase [Gregory] out (literally with a case of loose diamonds) to examine each one myself and pick the perfect rock. From there, we designed the setting and band.”
By now, they have two children. A little controversy arose after trying to conceive baby number two. The fertility medication caused a false-positive for performance-enhancing drugs forbidden by the NFL. After signing a $37.5 million contract with the Giants, he began fertility treatment in April. The random testing results cost him a four-game suspension and $1.2 million of lost salary.
Jordan Poyer & Rachel Bush
Free safety Jordan Poyer was drafted into the NFL by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013 but switched over to the Browns after one season. These days, he’s a strong component of the Buffalo Bills defensive team. He married his sweet young wife Rachel Bush in 2018 after dating for three years. The beautiful Instagram model gave birth to their adorable daughter Aliyah in 2017. She has her own Instagram page.

He and his wife Tori Foles suffered a terrible blow last year. She announced on Instagram that they lost a pregnancy at 15 weeks. The tragedy was described in detail. She said that the couple, who have a daughter born in 2017, lost a baby boy. Nick Foles tweeted in support with a beautiful heartfelt message.
Mason Cole & Madison Davis
Arizona Cardinals Mason Cole is somewhat of a newbie to the NFL. In 2017, at Michigan, the 6 ft., 4 in., 307-pound center was named All-Big Ten offensive second team. He signed a four-year, $3.32 million contract with the Cardinals the following year. Cole recently proposed to his childhood sweetheart, Madison Davis, and the couple officially announced their wedding date. It was a Tampa wedding on February 22, 2020.
The two lovebirds met in junior high school. They dated on and off ever since then but didn’t become an official couple until sophomore year in high school. These days, Madison is a rookie WAG. They have a bright future ahead of them!

The 8-time Pro Bowler (which gives him the NFL record) and LA Chargers veteran is also arguably the best tight end to have ever played in the NFL. In 2015, he caught an astonishing 100 touchdown passes. In January 2020, Gates retired with 16 years as a San Diego and LA Charger. Wife Sasha, for her part, starred on E!’s WAGS LA (Wives and Girlfriends of professional athletes). Now she is a full-time mother and wife with a music career on the side.
Drew Brees & Brittany Dudchenko
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees knows how to win a Superbowl, and he knows how to pick a wife. Brees first met Brittany Dudchenko at Purdue University as sophomores. She is a dedicated wife and mother of four kids.
Dudchenko chooses to devote herself to the children and to community charities. The Brees Dream Foundation, which among other work, provides quality of life assistance to cancer patients. Established in 2003, the foundation has already made available over $25 million to charities worldwide. Dudchenko leads the foundation. She also puts her name and support behind her husband’s nutrition products brand.

Tony Gonzalez is widely believed to be the best tight end the NFL has ever seen. He’s got a net worth of $20 million to prove it. But it was when he met October that he really scored. It’s not easy to stay in the spotlight next to Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model and former Patriots cheerleader Camille Kostek. But Rob Gronkowski has stood his ground. He’s had an outstanding run with the Patriots. Gronkowski’s a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time Super Bowl champ. He led in touchdowns in 2011 and is a four-time First-team All-Pro. Whew!

Chicago native and legendary Bears cornerback Charles Tillman played 12 seasons with the Chicago Bears. He’s a two-time Pro Bowler and the 2013 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year. After a sensational career of slick moves, executing over 900 tackles, he made a new move.
Since his 2015 retirement, just call him FBI agent Charles Tillman. He graduated from the FBI training academy last year. His training included investigations for terrorists, spies, and dangerous criminals. He married Jackie Tillman, his longtime love who he met in the seventh grade, in 2005. They have five children together. Jackie is active with their nonprofit Cornerstone Foundation, which raises funds for critically ill children.
Tony Romo & Candice Crawford
Tony Romo’s NFL career has been nothing short of stupendous. Now that he is retired, Romo is a broadcaster who is known as one of the best voices in gameday reporting, co-anchoring with Jim Nantz. Romo is CBS Sports’ lead color analyst. Quarterbacking for the Cowboys, Romo racked up records in passing touchdowns and passing yards.
On top of that, Romo married Candice Crawford, a stunning former beauty pageant queen and winner of the Miss Missouri title. The couple married in 2011. In 2017, they welcomed their third son.
Baker Mayfield & Emily Wilkinson
Baker Mayfield is a quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. The Heisman Trophy winner has 7,552 passing yards in the NFL. Another career highlight was meeting his wife.
Mayfield was dying to date Emily Wilkinson after he met her through mutual friends who had been encouraging them to date. To get her attention, he followed her on Instagram and then unfollowed her. Signing with the Rams in 2017 meant Robert Woods could be near his wife. The strapping wide receiver isn’t shy about exposing his sensitive side. Celebrating their wedding anniversary, Robert Woods wrote, “Still in awe of this day. I married my best friend.” He went on to say, "I appreciate all that you do. Philip Wheeler & Ashley Nicole Roberts
Linebacker Philip Wheeler and WAGS star Ashley Nicole Roberts got engaged right on the show! It was Season 2 of WAGS Miami, airing in 2016. Naturally, a glam wedding celebrated on a beautiful tropical beach came next.
Wheeler signed with the Colts in 2008. His NFL career has found him tackling opponents for the Raiders, the Dolphins, the Falcons, and the Cardinals. His last season was with the Cardinals in 2017. Nelson Agholor & Viviana Volpicelli
The big news in Nelson Agholor’s life was that he was dating beauty blogger Viviana Volpicelli out of Los Angeles. The Eagles’ Super Bowl champ receiver met Volpicelli at USC. He absolutely doted over the strikingly pretty 22-year-old, openly and effusively. Volpicelli, a model who shares makeup and skincare beauty tips on a website blog, emphasizes natural products and advises against tanning.

Matt Flynn met his beauty queen at LSU. While in college, Lacey Minchew won the 2009 Miss Louisiana crown. She was also on the LSU cheer squad, called LSU Golden Girls, as they prefer. The lovebirds dated for five years, and then Flynn proposed. He took Lacey to dinner at a Washington state winery. When a bottle of “Lacey, will you marry me?” arrived at the table, it complemented the cuisine superbly.
NFL quarterback Flynn signed into the league with the Green Bay Packers. He clinched Super Bowl XLV with the team when the Packers overpowered the Steelers in that 2011 contest. His outstanding career culminated in 2015 with the Saints. Born and raised in Tyler, Texas, the Southern boy followed his father’s footsteps. His dad was a quarterback at Baylor.
Ryan Tannehill & Lauren Tannehill
Texas beauty Lauren Tannehill keeps the world updated about her life as an NFL wife. For Ryan Tannehill’s 31st, she listed 31 reasons he’s her favorite man. “The best husband in the world” and “My college sweetheart” top the birthday list.
The fan-favorite Instagram couple has two sweet children, Stella and Steel; plus, successful lives outside of social media. Tannehill is a fashion model and a community advocate. Quarterback Tannehill is a Tennessee Titan these days but served as a Dolphin for many years after he signed a 2012 4-year contract for almost $13 million.
Cooper Kupp & Anna Kupp

Now he’s a Carolina Panther.
Cooper and Anna were also college sweethearts as Eastern Washington alums. Kupp comes from a family of football greats. Even his grandfather was an NFL offensive lineman. Anna Kupp keeps up her WAG duties on social media. Her Instagram account identifies herself as “Football Wifey” and has amassed almost 8,000 followers. The couple is very proud of their young son.
Zach Ertz & Julie Ertz
These college sweethearts met at a Stanford sporting event when Julie was a Santa Clara University student. Not realizing Zach was a Stanford football star, they spent their first date at Chipotle. Now the all-sports celebrity couple makes many appearances, like posing together for ESPN Magazine, and have a combined net worth of $19 million. Zach’s brings in $16 of it.
At 23, Julie Ertz helped lead the United States to the World Cup finals. She was the second-youngest player, yet she went on to play for the FIFA Women’s World Cup All-Star Team. In 2019, she won another World Cup with team USA. She’s a two-time U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year honoree.
