Most people know better than trying to start a Twitter war with Chrissy Teigen. You will lose. On the rare occasions when she isn’t up for a clap back, her husband’s more than willing to fill in. In 2016, a tribe of mom-shamers criticized Teigen for enjoying a dinner out so soon after she gave birth to her daughter, Luna.
The audacity, they exclaimed. Legend swiftly came to his wife’s defense on Twitter, saying, “Funny there’s no dad-shaming.” He added that they both went out to dinner, but somehow she was the only one shamed. He said he went to split the shame with his wife.
Luna’s First Lake Como Trip
After a hard fought experience with IVF and a successful pregnancy, the new family of three took a much needed vacation. In July of that same year, they made their way to Lake Como – Luna’s first trip to the place where her parents’ story began. She was three months old then.
The couple took Luna to their favorite spots. They also recreated moments from the music video, with Teigen captioning it “Lol, three years later” on Instagram. As for Luna? Chriss Teigen and John Legend, proud presents they were, took several shots of her living her best life, vacationing like a boss in Italy.
It's a Marriage of Convenience
John Legend is usually at the receiving end of trolling in this relationship. But he also throws his fair share of shade from time to time. In 2016, a news outlet reported a false rumor about how the two began dating, and much to Teigen's delight, Legend immediately called it out publicly.
Teigen couldn’t let it rest. If the rumors this news outlet was spreading were true, was he really in love with her? Legend responded by saying, “It’s a marriage of convenience. Everyone knows this.” These two give us life! At least Legend knows exactly what to say when push comes to shove.
Better Than Ever
You know those people who tell you romance dies after the baby comes? Well, they never met John Legend and Chrissy Teigen. In an interview with People Magazine, Legend shared how they love Luna and still enjoy each other’s company, and he broke it down in a pretty funny way.
He credited Teigen with bringing him out of his shell. Life was more fun with her around. As for Teigen, she believed she was lucky to have a person like John in her life. She called him an insanely patient “dork” who loves seeing her happy. We like to think of that as a term of endearment.
Who does not love Chrissy Teigen’s devastating Twitter takedowns? Especially the ones where she comes to her husband’s defense. Take, for example, when the troll who woke up one fine morning and decided to diss John Legend. Oh, Chrissy wasn't having anything. She knew she needed to do something about it.
In an ill-considered attempt to defend Donald Trump against Teigen’s wrath, the troll called Legend “illiterate.” Teigen’s death blow was swift. “John went to the same University as the Donald, silly Billy. Only difference was John went at the young age of 16,” wrote Teigen. The love for her husband runs deep, and it’s savage!
