Nico Rosberg was a one-and-done kinda guy, shocking the Formula One world when he retired as soon as he won his first Driver’s Championship. But we think that was his main goal — and then he could sit back, relax and enjoy his garage. He’s a big Mercedes-Benz man and chooses to drive their cars on a daily basis.
He owns a Mercedes G-63 AMG, a GLE, a 1970 Mercedes 280 SL and a Mercedes SLS AMG. But he’s got his eye on a Ferrari 250 GT California Spider!
Mercedes in Monaco
Monaco seems to be the hangout spot if you're an F1 driver. Valtteri Bottas, Finnish Formula One driver, shares his home with Australian pro cyclist, Tiffany Cromwell. And as for the garage? Well, when you own a lakeside home, you don’t need to go anywhere right? Or you cycle — which seems to be popular for the pair.
But when Bottas isn’t driving a Mercedes race car, he’s driving his Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. We wouldn’t mind having that as our daily wheels either.
Yuki Tsunoda's Favorite Wheels
The Japanese racer for Alpha Tauri, Yuki Tsunoda, is a bit of a dark horse on the track. But it seems there’s a car that’s quite popular with the drivers, and it’s a Honda.
Perhaps the fact that Tsunoda is Japanese, it’s natural for his home brand to want to provide him with a car. And a flashy Honda NSX is exactly what they gave him to drive.
Michael Schumacher, the German World Champion, might be retired, but there’s no doubt the iconic driver has had quite a few cool cars in his garage and still does. His first car was a Fiat 500, and he’s still a Fiat man. Schumacher is so beloved by the brand, that they even created two limited-edition Fiat models in his honor. You know you’ve made it when they make a car (or two) after you!
But on weekends, he’s been seen in the Ferrari FXX. Oh and, of course, he owns the only black one (of 31 ever made) in the world.
The Australian former Formula One driver, Mark Webber, is the proud owner of a limited-edition Porsche 911 GT2 RS. The racer, who left his mark on the track, definitely is privy to some of the more exotic cars in the world. It’s no wonder he had access to such an awesome car — and there’s no doubt that he’s blessed to be able to drive it every day.
He told the media that “it…feels like a little bit of a race car, it’s a bit naughty, but you can still drive on the road.”
