Christen Press spends her time between the US woman’s soccer team and the English Manchester United team. In 2010 she won the Herman Trophy for being one of the top soccer players in the country. She first appeared in the nation’s uniform back in 2013 and, since then, has not only scored numerous goals but has built herself a reputation for being the best of the best.
In 2019 she formed a gender-free lifestyle brand, bringing modern days to awareness. Her fame spilled outside of the soccer field when she and a couple of her teammates (Alex Morgan and Abby Wambach, also featured here) had their likeness appear in an episode of “The Simpsons”!
Being an athlete was Alysha Newman's forever dream, and she is one of the leading sportswomen in her category. She began her sporty life in gymnastics, however, had to quit after sustaining an injury in her lower back. That didn't stop her from pursuing an athletic career, though. Before setting her sights on track and field, and ultimately vault jumping, Newman considered getting into diving or ice hockey.
However, given her gymnastics background, she was advised to go into vaulting. In 2018 Newman set a game record with a 4.75 in the pole vault field. She also won a gold medal at the Coast Championships and has competed in two Olympic Games. Her other half, the NFL player Anthony Chickillo, is obviously also very athletic.
Khaddi (her real name is Victoria, but she is known as Khaddi) Sagnia is a Swedish track and field athlete. She specializes in the long jump and triple jump, and in 2021, she gracefully won a bronze medal at the indoor championship.
As a child, Khaddi was always into sports and took part in football, basketball, and taekwondo. Her incredible skills even placed her at the 2010 Youth Olympics in Singapore, where she won the gold in the triple jump final. These days, she is one of Nike's representatives, and she is also an ambassador for Nocco Beverage and Atea.
In 2014, the beautiful Italian biathlete won a bronze medal at the Sochi Winter Olympic Games. In the Beijing Winter Olympic Games in 2022, she won her first individual medal. Many professional athletes who reach impressive achievements start at a very early age and have to give up a significant portion of their social lives.
Things were a little different for Dorothea, though. While growing up, Wierer found it hard to put parties aside and concentrate on sports, and she became a professional at a relatively more mature age. 2019 was one of Dorothea's greatest years. She became the third biathlete ever recorded to achieve success in every single discipline.
The Ethiopian long-distance runner grasped her silver medal in the 2012 London Olympic Games, and she won an honorable gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games. The 1500-meter world record belongs to her, with an astonishing time of 3:50.
While being an Olympic athlete (let alone a medalist) is a rare and incredible achievement, it seems like it's pretty much standard practice in Dibaba's family. The world of sports was never strange to Genzebe as she comes from a family of athletes. Both her sisters, her brother, her aunt, and her cousin are all remarkable Olympic medalists. What a family!
