Sue is a retired basketball player who played for the Seattle Storm WNBA team. Megan Rapinoe is a world-famous soccer player on the US women’s national team and the National Women’s Soccer League. Some of you might recognize Megan’s name and face thanks to her illustrious career, and some of you might recognize her as the partner of another sports legend — Sue Bird (pictured here to her right).
Just like her partner, Megan enjoys both an active career and the perks that come with it. The soccer star is worth around $4 million but is still actively playing and accepting endorsement deals with brands like BodyArmor and Luna Bar.
Professional wrestler and arm wrestler Sarah Bäckman has won the world championship in arm wrestling no less than eight times. Looking at this picture, it's not surprising, really. One glance at those biceps and you know this woman could grind you into dust as casually as she brushes her teeth.
She was born in Sweden and competed on "Spirit" — the Swedish version of "Gladiators." After breaking records with so many wins to her name, she turned onto a new path in life. These days, she still pulls down some arms but also has an additional career in real estate.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and the niece doesn't fall far from her uncle. Cheyanne Woods, the niece of golfing legend Tiger Woods, has the golf ball running down her veins too. Her grandfather, Earl Woods, was her first coach.
Woods is the sixth black American female to play in the LPGA tour, and she had said that she feels the tournament must become more accessible as no black woman has ever won it. She is the proud mother of three sons who are still a little too young to compete, so we will keep our eyes peeled to see if the future holds any golfing for them.
If you want to find Sally Fitzgibbons, you must head down to the beach. She is an Australian professional surfer, and in 2019 she was ranked #1 surfer worldwide. In 2022 she failed to qualify for the WSL top ten and competed in the second-tier challenger series.
Before becoming a pro surfer, Fitzgibbons tried her hand in other types of sports and even won two gold medals at the 2007 Youth Olympics! At the age of 14, she already won the ASP Pro Junior Open. This tournament is open for any female surfer age 21 or younger, meaning she competed against women far more experienced than her. And she is a model too. Not surprising.
This gymnast is one of the all-time greatest. Simone Biles is known for having the most all-around World titles out of any female athlete. She's also the most accomplished gymnast in the world, both in the men's and women's divisions. With more gold medals than we can count, this beauty is an absolute legend.
Her nine world championship medals before graduating high school placed her second all-time amongst American gymnasts, and since then, she’s become the most decorated gymnast – regardless of nationality – with 25 world championship medals. Arguably the most famous gymnast in the world, Biles enjoys an Instagram following of more than 6 million.
