Corpse Bride is a dark fantasy movie, released in 2005. It is set in a fictional English village way back in the Victorian age and features Emily, voiced by Helena Bonham Carter.
Helena has been adorning our screens for years. A Room With a View, The Mak, and Harry Potter are only some of the titles she starred in. In Corpse Bride she manages to shine by voicing the lead character to perfection.
Rowan Atkinson – The Lion King
Rowan Atkinson is not only about comedies, pantomimes, and beans. He is a remarkable voice actor and he showed us exactly what he is made of when he voiced Zazu in The Lion King.
Initially, Atkinson wasn't so keen on taking the role, however, the 1994 Disney classic wouldn't be complete without him, so we're kind of glad he was persuaded into it.
Whoopi Goldberg – The Lion King
At first, the three hyenas in The Lion King were given a small and characterless role, however, as the plot evolved, the actors responsible for voicing the three turned them into unforgettable pieces.
Our beloved Whoopi Goldberg was the voice behind Shenzi the Hyena and remained its voice in the 2019 adaptation too.
Danny DeVito – Hercules
This one didn't come as a surprise to us. Danny DeVito is one of a kind and has so many colors to his character. In Hercules, he voiced Phil, a character that was inspired but no other than Snow White's Grumpy.
Eric Goldberg, the movie's animator, was so impressed by DeVito's facial expressions that he used those expressions while he was enlivening Phil. There is more to Phil than what the eye can see.
Johnny Depp – Corpse Bride
In Corpse Bride, Jonny Depp voices Victor Van Dort, the lead. There is no need to put the spotlight on Depp, as his roles as real-life characters are numerous.
Depp was filming Charlie and The Chocolate Factory at the same time as shooting Corpse Bride, so he was Willy Wonka by day, and mean old Victor by night.
