Martin Freeman has several exceptional roles under his belt. One of his most memorable portrayals was Lester Nygaard in the first season of the critically acclaimed TV series “Fargo.” Lester is a complex insurance salesman from Minnesota whose life goes into a spin when a hitman named Lorne Malvo enters the picture. Lester is both cowardly and sinister after having endured years of abuse.
Martin Freeman, on the other hand, is quite a chilled-out guy. He shies away from the limelight and parties with celebrities. He owns an impressive collection of vinyl records. He was a talented squash player and a member of the British national squad as a child.
Jesse Eisenberg - Zombieland
"Zombieland" fans know Jessie Eisenberg as Columbus – the show’s quirky but capable protagonist who stole hearts. Eisenberg breathed life into this lovable nerd with his signature charm and humor. Columbus' cautious and analytical approach to the zombie apocalypse made him a valuable member of the group, but it was his emotional depth that set him apart from the other characters.
Eisenberg was perfect for the role, but he excels at other things besides acting. Eisenberg is known for being awkward, but he can also be mischievous when he wants to be. During the filming of “The Social Network,” he played a prank on co-star Andrew Garfield by setting up a fake Facebook account in his name.
Zooey Deschanel - New Girl
The iconic series “New Girl” revolved around the life of Jess, a quirky teacher who moves in with three male roommates. At the center of it, all was Zooey Deschanel, who played the role of Jess. Deschanel off-screen is also known for her independent streak when it comes to fashion and personal image. Her thick bangs and vintage style have become her signature.
Deschanel has also made a name for herself in indie films such as “500 Days of Summer” and “The Good Girl.” Her colorful love life has always made news, including her relationships with actors Chris Kattan and Jason Schwartzman, as well as her ex-husband Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie fame.
Zosia Mamet - Girls
Actor Zosia Mamet is best known for her role as Shoshanna Shapiro on the hit HBO series “Girls.” Her character might be fast-talking and glamorous, but Mamet is nothing like Shoshanna in real life. She is laid-back, easygoing, and a big fan of casual clothing. In an interview, Mamet revealed that she's not a girly girl and that she and Shoshanna are opposites in that regard.
She had always been a tomboy at heart, especially when she was younger. Still, Mamet values the quirkiness of Shoshanna's character and respects her unique sense of style. When she's not filming, Mamet likes to relax at home to relieve stress. Her favorite way to unwind is by practicing yoga in-between scenes.
Katie Holmes - Dawson Creek
In many teen shows, there's usually a character who stands out for being ambitious and toeing the line compared to the other characters. In “Dawson's Creek,” that character is Joey Potter, played by Katie Holmes. She’s the bright girl next door in a small town who’s most likely to leave and succeed. Holmes, in real life, epitomizes a quiet but fierce rebellion.
Few stars can survive and thrive after a highly-publicized divorce and fleeing the controversial Church of Scientology. Holmes has moved beyond her image as Tom Cruise's ex-wife and is actively pursuing her acting career once more. She’s also raising her daughter, Suri, on her own.
